This shows the Sooner MAGIC that was first noted in my young days when Bud Wilkinson's Sooners were losing late in the 4th quarter and he called on a 4th team running back, Joe Don Looney, to provide the MAGIC with a long touchdown run. Only heard it on radio but still feel the tingle and these winning plays through Stoops years plus Switzer's years and all the others make us Okies believe "it ain't over til it's over" in football and life....

This Longhorn will miss Bob (although I sure hated that Texas had to play against him every year! haha) A true legend in college football, and was responsible for making the Texas-OU rivalry epic again. Blake would never had Heuple as QB or Mike Leach as an offensive coordinator even Jerry Schmidt made a difference as Blake's best hire was Rex Ryan. Blake brought in some good talent but couldn't field an offense using Brandon Daniels at QB for the wishbone was a big mistake also not letting Dick Winder was another mistake. I can go on Blake was in over his head and wasn't ready to be a head coach he was a good DL coach though. Blake's beat win vs Texas in 1996 30-27. Bob Stoops and his staff turned the tide and built a dynasty while other teams negatively recruited Oklahoma.

Jake Goodnight If college football was the same now as it was in mikes early days, we probably would have a much better defense statistically. My logic is Mike Stoops’ brand of ball was dominant at one point, but for now, he doesn’t have anything to offer

+Allison McKinney With the name Allison I can assume your a chick so I'll let you know that Bob Stoops has taken the Sooners to the title game a handful of times (not just Blake's players ) Yeah he's only gotten the one win but 5 or 6 trips deserves credit not to mention, what is it 8, 10, 11 Big 12 titles something stupid like that. I'll admit my last prediction was a tad off, but I believe very soon that Bob Stoops will be head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. yall watch and see. j/k about the chick comment.

The loss to LSU ON THE FUGING Road down @ the Sugar Bowl where we FINALLY tired out LSU's defensive front 7 and had a 1st and goal after gashing them with the run the whole way down the field only to STOP RUNNING THE BALL??!?!? WHY??? The worst part is WE STILL WOULD HAVE WON IF JASON CHOKE ARTIST WHITE DIDN'T OVER THROW A WIDE OPEN Kejuan Jones! Although, TBF, the touch throw required to hit the wide open Kejuan was WAYYY more difficult of a throw than it looked.
