You are the only content creator that makes me get up, grab my sketchbook, and follow along with you in a real time sketching vid XD I didn't go so far as to add shading, but its always a joy to be able to follow along and complete the sketch in around the same time that you do :')

I watch a lot of art vids, and normally I’m just very intrigued but don’t usually get inspired by them. But for some reason, this really inspired me. I don’t know if it’s the way you explain your process, or maybe because our processes and styles are already so similar, but it made me want to whip out my sketchbook and draw again after a long art block, so thank you ❤

I'm confused how this looks correct. You put the eyeline at the brow line and not below. would that make the eyebrow and eye placement too high on the face? I'm still trying to wrap my head around the Loomis method. I'll do my own drawings and follow the steps but the proportions look off. Is this why? Is the horizontal line of the side plane the brow line or the eyeliner? I always read the brow starts there. But you put the eyes at that level instead. How does this still look accurate?

She only used one pencil for the whole drawing, it's the 'Blackwing Matte' a very soft pencil 😊

I don't know if you look and answer the comments, but I have a question - I find it very challenging to "place" the facial features like the eyes, nose, and lips. A millimeter to the left, right, up, down, the slight difference in size, the shape....it seems to make an unwanted big difference with just a teensy amount of difference/mistake. Therefore, the more I try to refine the shape and features, the worse it gets. As much as the answer is likely "practice" but here is what I am wondering - is it best I keep drawing the same face over and over again until I get the hang of it, or should I try various different portraits? i don't know what the best way is to get better at it - I'm quite fine with drawing animals, but human faces have always been the issue with me, it seems to require super refined accuracy that requires an AI, but I just can't get the hang of it.
