I was just thinking about it recently. I watched Nemophila live at NAON no YAON, and was actually a bit disappointed. In the studio version, her growl sounds good, but live, not so much. And I thought to myself, probably I just don't like the growl. Saiki's clean and honest vocals sound much better for me.

I must admit, at first I didn´t like this song that much, maybe I was pampered or spoiled too much by their Amsterdam concert. But the more I heard it, the more I got into it and to see and hear it live in the middle of the crowd, shouting and "singing" can´t be compared to the studio version. For me now it´s a must on a concert.

@@HalloweeN245 Oh, I meant Bubble. When I heard the song for the first time, I thought : "oh no, not this oooohhhh again, sounds a bit stereotype and doesn´t fit in this kind of song." But I think, it is the philosophy of them to get close to their audience and to interact with it to have a wonderful common experience, and the sing along - songs beside of Kobato´s "Omajinai Time" and talking with the crowd is a lot of fun for both sides. Many of us are hardcore fans, knowing all the songs and want to show that, also our appreciation and love to them in the way you see at the concerts. We buy VIP - Tickets and a lot of merchendise stuff to support them, or are member in the fan - club. Now it is their profession and they have to work and earn money to carry on. @@OniZai I think it's safe to say that all Hamburg videos can be watched without much problem, you can thoroughly enjoy most of them. Bochum ones are not that good, although there are some very nice occasions, like Akane's drum solo, the incident with DocLoco getting back his BAND-MAIKO bag, and a fan throwing a teddy bear on stage for Saiki. But the sound from the middle of the hall was not so good, you hear some reverb. Paris recordings are of an entirely different class. Guitars are almost absent there, only bass, drum, and, strangely, Saiki. It's a nice stuff if you want to hear what MISA is doing 😎 MISA is the main focus there. But it's not BAND-MAID in its entirety.

Thanks for these uploads Vladimir. Watching unfiltered live shows shows the flood of talent pouring out of them. Truly, I'd shake your hand and buy you pint for these vids you have shared on YT. Band-Maid are the best thing to happen to rock music in over 30 years. Already, they are among the all-time greats from a song output view and they have only gotten started recording their own compositions. Kanami Tono has such fluid playing. Akane Hirose is fierce on the drums. Misa is subtle in her playing accenting where it needs to be in the rhythm. Saiki sings with her gorgeous voice, a pure one , one not needing autotune. And the Po, her lyrics and ambition clearly drive the band in a different way. Each musician is a pillar to the mighty Band-Maid.

The pleasure was entirely mine 🙏 I'm a slo mo, I don't perceive things at the first encounter. I need a few listens before my mind digests the song, and I may enjoy it. Hence the recording idea. I'm glad that my phone was able to provide a pretty decent quality. If BAND-MAID ever comes to Europe again, I'll be there, maybe with the more advanced recorder. But they usually don't allow a more bulky hardware in the clubs, which is a pity.

@@VladimirChupin Hey you did all right, dude. The sound is great for what you had. Their performance is stellar. How did you learn about Band-Maid? I discovered them after discovering Aldious. I read about them after looking up Aldious. Someone asked me if I thought Aldious were faking to a track during a live performance and after being surprised about how good they are, I discovered Band-Maid. BM is more of a power rock band than a metal band say like Lovebites. Rock music is happening in Japan, Korea and Russia. It is not happening here in the USA. My country has lost its soul during globalization and an immigration invasion of 30 years. Heck, I have even discovered fresh rockabilly from France and Poland.

@@johnp.johnson1541 I was also discouraged by the modern Western music in the new millennium. I tried to listen to a lot of bands, but they all were boring like hell. Then, somewhere in 2010, I have discovered Japanese music scene, and it helped a lot. Initially I was listening to the more exotic stuff, like Vocaloid. There are pretty nice things there, like Yuyoyuppe and Utsu-P. They were a nice addition to my normal Metallica, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and King Crimson playlists. There were some non-Vocaloid bands as well, like Bleach03, I still love them. Amazing band with explosive energy. Then somewhere in 2018 KZbin started to recommend me THRILL. I did not want to click on that white thumbnail, it seemed like something not up my alley. But it was appearing always in recommendation, Google knew me better than I knew myself 😂 Then one day in October 2018 I finally clicked it, just to get rid of it, and I was lost forever to any other music. Of course, I may still listen to some other bands from time to time, but BAND-MAID is probably taking up to 99% of my playlist. Actually, there's even too much to listen to, I simply don't have enough time to enjoy properly everything that BAND-MAID produces. They are truly all-encompassing, it's a whole universe in itself. No matter what I need, be it a heavy music to carry me through difficult times, or something soft to make me cry, BAND-MAID has it. "about Us" is currently my favourite song. I keep listening to it over and over. I have translated it into Russian, and now those words just get imprinted into my soul directly when I listen to it. Those are the words I needed in these crazy times...

@@VladimirChupin Right on, Vladimir. RuNet fanscinates me, by the way. I have much respect for the hardy Russkiyes. I use Russian Internet products because I don't trust American ones. I've listened to music for decades having grown up in the heydays of rock music in the USA. I minored in music at university. My listening is broad from concertos to jump blues, from ska to metal. I've listened to band from King Crimson to Devo, from Cheap Trick to Sea Level, from Lynyrd Skynrd to the New York Dolls. Band-Maid has hit me in the same way as you. They strike me as the best rock band since Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. Daydreaming is such a melodic and gorgeous song. Tono touches the heart wtih her solo in that one. Their first all-band penned song, Alone, is stellar. The solo is off the charts. Tono is a much more melodic player than say an Eddie Van Halen. I put her in that class of players. My first song was Non-Fiction Days. That floored me. Then I heard Thrill and I was hooked. To me, there are two Band-Maids. The first BM was a cover band of unreleased songs by others. That is what Maid in Japan, New Beginning and almost all of Brand New Maid are all about. The second BM is the original artist band which we know now from Just Bring It, World Domination, Conqueror and Unseen World. Another way I see Band-Maid is this: They are a Power Rock band and they are a Power Pop band. For every 14 power rock songs, they put out 10 power pop songs. Oh and they have like four slow numbers, ballads or what have. It is hard to pick a fave in songs, in styles, in eras and in personnel. They are beautiful souls, beautiful people.

I remember I kept thinking shortly after I discovered BAND-MAID, that "The saving grace of Akane's drums saved me." When I finally clicked on that white thumbnail of THRILL, succumbing to KZbin insistent attempts to recommend it to me, it was Akane's drumming which kept my attention enough to let me explore further. At the time I was listening a lot to various female drummers, from child prodigies Senri Kawaguchi and Kanade Sato all the way to Meytal Cohen. So, Akane's double kicks were exactly in the context of this exploration 😍 And then, of course, MISA, and Kanami, and Miku's lyrics... And Saiki's magic presence... @@OzziePete1 It was very intimate indeed. It's actually an interesting effect: the venue is rather awful, but the concert was the best of all. Exactly for this very reason: it was so small and awkward, that it seems like they are playing in your kitchen. Like back in happy hippy times half a century ago. It was crushingly hot, we were all drenched in sweat, that stupid column in the middle, Kanami was really exhausted, etc. etc. But it felt so great! We all just went mad. Strangely, Saiki seemed quite fresh even at the end of the show. As it happens with most of the good singers, her voice was getting better at the end, it felt like her lungs opened up and she was singing absolutely freely. But her throat was probably irritated, because at the very end she patted herself at the breast, as if she wanted to cough. I imagine, it's probably quite a stress, to scream like this for two hours...

Nice to see you here, Ryan! LOGO Hamburg has the best sound of all my European recordings. Check the playlist "Europe 2019." Paris was drum&bass only because I was BEHIND the loudspeaker-but the best picture because my phone stood on a tripod. Bochum has a nice picture, I was in the centre. But the sound was not so good, there was a significant reverb. Too far from any loudspeakers, the sound waves were billowing around me, bouncing from the walls and the ceiling. Hamburg was the best, I was in front of a loudpeaker. My right ear was hurting badly at the end, but my phone was happy 😁.

You may notice that in the middle of Bubble (starting at 5:00) I was trying to move my camera to the left, to capture more MISA. The phone was on a selfie stick, so, I turned the grip a little bit, and stretched my arm as far to the left as I could. But the overhanging headlights did not allow me a lot of freedom. At this moment, the sound became noticeable worse as well. The problem is that you can't control the sound as it is being recorded on a phone. So, it was all random, how it happened. I was not even able to watch the videos recorded on a particular night. I uploaded it all blindly to KZbin after BAND-MAID tour was over. It is was it is.

@@VladimirChupin Saiki was very prominent over the loudspeakers. I have her to thank for some intense vibrations in my head or sense of balance, because some of her frequencies hit me quite hard. The instruments, on the other hand, remained not dangerous.
