Bought this watch on Jomashop…it’s gorgeous on my 7.5” wrist. Definitely prefer this model with the ‘12’ index cut off…a much nicer case finish than the newer models. Leather strap a bit stiff, but getting better day by day. Movement running just a handful of secs fast per day…well regulated. She’s so pretty to look at.

I bought the exact same one 3 years back but with the steel Bracelet. Here in the UK the steel is just too cold for most of the year. I bought a black teju lizard strap, a caramel brown ostrich skin strap, and a red shark skin with black highlights strap for it. It’s a great watch visually and is the fun watch in my small collection. Quality exotic straps really bring this time piece up a couple notches.I do like that Longines though! Thanks for the heads up about winding it gently.

Beautiful watch. What I would factor into buying any watch in the $1000.00 or less range is would the watch be worth servicing in 5 to 10 years? Servicing a watch cost $500 to $1000.00 plus. What is your opinion????

Servicing Tissot and Hamilton is about $200 USD and you can go 7-10 years without service in most cases. I would say it is worth it if you love the watch and want to keep it forever for sentimental value. You can also try local watchmakers for much less costs. Maybe 120 for a service.

Dress watches should be business-like and the Hamilton is a tad OTT for a Professional image one should be projecting. But I'd wear the Hammy with casual dress attire.
