Hamilton, Ohio Fly Over

Hamilton, Ohio Mavic 2 Pro drone fly over on 6/26/2019 I was asked to do a downtown fly over of Hamilton and the day was perfect for it. This was recorded in, and I recommend viewing in beautiful full 4K for amazing detail. Using the Great Miami River as my safety. I hope you enjoy!

I live in Hamilton and can't wait to get out but not because of what you think. Hamilton is making a comeback and its huge. The shot at 6:45 show the old paper factory and a sports complex is being built there. Businesses are coming in like crazy even on the west side, 65% of those from what I read are owned by female entrepreneurs. Property values are skyrocketing right now and I want to get out to the country, I'm not much of a city person. If you haven't' been to Hamilton in a while thinking its what it was years ago I highly recommend you pay a visit.

I enjoyed your video of my old home town. Left there in 1970 to join the USAF. Living in Alaska for the past 45 years. Air Force brought me here in 1975 and I never left.

250 for most of the flight until the end, jumped to 350. I was in the river basin the whole time in view.

I know this video is pretty old, but I am wondering if you are from Hamilton and how you were able fly over. My father in law has been is missing for 10 days in Hamilton. We’re trying to locate his car. Ground/car search has not uncovered anything. An Ariel view would help us. Do you have connections with someone that might be able to help? Thanks in advance.

What a beautiful city. My only criticism (and please, I don’t mean to offend anybody, or be a troll) is the river. And not that I don’t appreciate the fact that there’s a river there. I really do. In fact, to me, a city or town, is not “complete” without a river, or a lake. But this lake looks “dirty” (I hate to use that word). It also looks “dead” and even “empty” (it looks like it could literally have “more water”). Then again, I’m not an expert. I wonder if maybe the water looks so brown due to natural reasons. Or maybe it’s something about the time of the year? Something about the weather? Any Hamilton natives (or people who know this place) reading this? I’m not here to judge. I’m here to learn, so corrections are more than welcome. On a different subject, I think this Ohio city is phenomenal. It really seems like the kind of place I’d live in. It’s not too small, not too big. I seems developed. And like I said, it’s just beautiful. Greetings from your brother state, Wisconsin. 🛶🐿

Lol a bunch of toxic waste was dumped in the lake in the 80s by a company named chemdyne it was unauthorized and the company was sued. Not sure if that’s why it’s brown but the river is for sure considered dirty

Dirt and crap get constantly washed down the small dam area by the bridge before Hamilton. This created uproar in the dirt and causes the water to become “Murky”. It also is because I think that the dirt underneath the water is very loose or very rich in color, again, causing the dirty color.

It looks like it could hold more water because the banks were built up after a catastrophic flood in 1913. There was also one in the late 1800s. The river does not normally look muddy, this is the result of rain.

The river is full of fish, even bald eagles nest near. (You dont want to eat any fish, as someone else stated Chemdyne let hazardous waste flow in to it in the 1980s)
