Thank you so much for posting this. You saved me. I went over to watch with my recently widowed dad and when we fired up the recording on the PVR there was only 30 minutes recorded (Rogers sucks). We were resigned to just watch the highlights on KZbin and low and behold your recording of the game was in my recommendations! You made some people very happy, just wanted to let you know.

On TSN1, the beginning of this game was cut off because of the EDM vs WPG game, but the whole thing was shown on TSN3 (or one of the TSN stations).

@@gridiron2022 The beginning was recorded, but for some reason just stopped about 45 minutes into it.

One positive about Shaw/Robbers IPTV is that the cloud PVR works quite well. So far, only one time when a broadcast got cut off, and it was just the broadcast wrapping up (game was already over). In any case, I always record SportsCentre, since I like to be complete as possible (e.g., 7 hours from Grey Cup day 😸 ). It's not so important now, but ten years down the road, I think it would be fun to watch the "post-game show".

Nice to see a challenge outcome made properly, unlike the Saskatchewan fumble recovery against Ottawa for a touchdown this afternoon that was definitely a competed pass/fumble/touchdown.

As a Brit who is relatively new to the sport I'm wondering why there are so many empty seats, this is clearly a big game and Vancouver's a big city, what's more this is good stuff it has all the razzamataz of the U.S. and the commentators are spot on, especially for a noob like me. So what gives? Does everything play 2nd fiddle to the Hockey gods? Is it pricing ? Any help appreciated.

Idk about Vancouver, but in Hamilton, people usually start leaving early if the score is a blowout.

CFL has a perception problem. Lots of Canadians view it as an inferior league to the NFL and will make all kinds of excuses why they don't follow the CFL. For example, back when Vancouver had a permanently domed stadium (1983 to 2010), they would say, "I want to be outside in the summer." I don't think renovating the stadium (changing to a rectractible roof) made any difference. *shrug* CFL peaked in the 80s, and NFL rose around the same time. The darkest days in the league were in the 1990s, but the league has turned it around in the last 10-15 years, even if attendance doesn't always show it.

@@gridiron2022such a shame, it seems the rule differences make for a more exciting, free flowing game.

@@gridiron2022 Not in Winnipeg or Regina - most games are sold out. Also Hamilton, Calgary and Ottawa also do well with attendance. The worst attendance are in Canada's three largest cities - Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. These are the most "diverse" cities in the world apparently. Meaning the population is becoming more and more foreign born. The sad thing is that the Lions were once HUGE in BC and Vancouver. Most of the population now is not "old stock" Canadians. Indians and Chinese do not watch football.

Except I'm Chinese 😸 and was the first to upload current games to KZbin (under a previous account, until CFL started complaining... glad they seem to have clued in that it helps generate interest... if only they would take advantage of us and monetize these videos... free labour!). But yeah, gridiron football doesn't cross over to too many races. And I remember the 80s, the heydays of football in Vancouver. The sound of a full house under the dome was amazing, as was the wave.
