My family was one of the first families to move into Ridgeway Towers on Cowie Hill. My family is the ONLY one who ever had the Apartment number M-22 there. My childhood home is now one of 4 renovated apartments that is now a daycare center. It is an absolute trip to see these places before changes occurred like.. Theyre still building Tamarack apartments. I played baseball before those buildings existed on that spot.. caught frogs further down it. SO many memories. Hell, I might even know you. My family STILL lives in Cowie Hill to this day in fact. Thank you for these brief glimpses to some of my OWN history here as well. I remember many of these locations mainly because i was on the CB radio back then and we had these hide and seek games called Fox Hunts and we always wanted to find great places to hide.

4:56 -- My house is _almost_ visible. This is St. John's (Anglican) Church. The yellow building on the left partially obscured by the traffic sign was, in the 1990s, being used by various businesses (Century-21 real estate, Rainbow Distributing, a broadcasting school). Next-door is the former Rectory, which by the 1990s was divided into three apartments/commercial units. My house was located just two doors further down the street, at the foot of Central Avenue.

Yup, I do like these. Bet with almost 100% certainty that you never expected anyone would care to watch your vids. You are 100% wrong. They bring a flood of memories and joy to me. You've done a good thing in posting them. Stuff on video tape has a short shelf life and will disappear. As long as humans exist, images/videos posted online will exist. Thanks!

KFC used that logo between 1991 and 1997. So this video is between those years. I'm thinking on the earlier side of those dates. So 91-93.

it was quite lovely, though I'm sure Kentucky was fine, too. I was six and I would walk from my elementary school to my brothers' junior high school alone in the dead of winter after school

I went to a private religious school in Spryfield between 1978 and 1985. The neighbourhood was, um, not the very best. We sometimes played sports against the kids from nearby B.C. Silver Junior High. They were much tougher than we were. 😧
