Is there any reason to use Intense design? If you want your setup to be saved and simulate practice. Enter your setup and save. Then quit to the main menu and load that save. You should be able to sim practices and the AI won't mess with the changes.

Intense makes all parts made later on better. But you can just counteract that by designing more parts which is arguably cheaper and gives you more control. For research it's more useful but still costs too much money to be justifiable

Not really, intense can be really good at low expertise levels but as of now I don't find it necessary. Intense is also 3x cost for 1.5x the gain. Thanks for the practice tip :)

As a Mercedes fan I always start the game doing this. I always succeed so well (around 15 victories at least) that it gets a little boring. Luckily now they have fixed ai development, making ai a lot closer than before

Im currently trying to limit the damage by getting the fastest lap every race. I generally know the maximum at the start is gonna be P7 and P8, so giving at least one of the drivers a short soft stint at the end

I was gonna put the replacement driver on a one year contract, but for some reason, it has me signing them for two seasons instead of one. I'd suspect that Monaco result was a red flag situation where Hamilton had passed the pit entry before the red flag was thrown and had to complete that extra lap to get back to the pits. I've had this happen a couple of times, also happened on last years game as well.

Yeah Mercedes start towards the bottom of the top 4 teams at the start of the season but if you upgrade you can probably overthrow Red Bull and McLaren by season ones end

I just went into my 3rd season in My Team. After winning with a 1000 Points I decided to switch teams. I choose Haas. I join them we are on -30 Million Money. We have no drivers and No Technical Director. The worst car on the Grid. And all the facilities are in The Orange or red condition. What part of the season is it better to stop developing the car and start focusing on research for the following year?

The AI starts research as soon as it's open. Doesn't mean you have to do it at the same time, but generally a good rule is to have 1 Design Center slot reserved for Research mroe or less as soon as it opens. Obviously depends on your design development plan (if you plan to design multiple front wings or underfloors, you can hold off on research), but some components that I only make small amounts of (sidepods, suspension, for example), I basically slap 1 engineer onto a research project for that part and use the other 3 slots for design. This makes more sense to do in Create a Team as well, where the Cost Cap is much lower in Season 1 with a created team but not a real team

im in the second season and after upgrading each part, the next parts bring close to no upgrade what should i do in this situation? should i keep designing parts in the 'optimal' way and just not manufacture each one of them or should i design them in the way opposite to the 'optimal'? i know that the condition of the facilities plays the factor but the staff is improving. any tips?

As you get closer to the expertise ceiling your gains will be lower and lower, at that point I'd probably start researching next seasons car instead of designing new ones if the gains are small.

I'm with Aston Martin and I have great mid season progress so far only issue on my save is that Alonso compete for the championship. He god some minor damages on the car but compared with stroll is some kind of no big issue. after 11 races stroll have 5 DNF's from loosing the control of the car most of them. Is any glitch with the second driver's mate?

The trick is to focus on what the parts excel at, in this case with an additional focus on cornering as cornering is the biggest factor in pace.

I started a My team save and played 2 seasons and won WDC and WCC in second season (2025) then I decided to join Mercedes and the car was 3rd fastest at the start of 2026 and I won the WCC and WDC with hamilton with 17 wins on the season. And then season 2027 was pure dominance and the car was so overpowered, I had Bottas + Hamilton lineup for these 2 seasons. I won all 24 races with 1022 points on the season. Then went to Ferrari for 2028 to get them back to glory since they were down in 5th for the last few seasons and yep I won the WCC and WDC in that same season, now 2029 in my save im at Haas and already got P5 in the second race of the season and Haas hadn't scored a point in 3 seasons. I play on standard difficulty and it's very easy to develop the car it's pretty nuts when you can understand even a tiny bit about the upgrades in this game, Hard difficulty it is I guess.

In real life you have upgrades that don't work, as an example the zeropod concept, in theory it is the fastest car but doesn't actually work out in reality. In the game you know the exact gains before you even start designing the upgrade in real life you don't.
