What's the vent hole for?

When you drill a non sarge easter grip, so just a basic finger tip grip do you still do middle to thumb and then thumb to ring cut? Most Chicago area shops do thumb first and each finger, but the newer shops taught do fingers first then thumb since it's easier to hit. That special epoxy can be used with JoPo also right?

Nick I’m curious my ring finger last joint don’t bend and all , would your finger layout be something to consider? I’m in the UP of Michigan and I’m not sure if any PSO up here are familiar with or know how to do it . I get almost zero lift with my ring finger even with negative pitch , thoughts ?

My 1st knuckle on ring finger doesn’t bend at all. No knuckle. Im at a tad more than a 1.5 inch reverse pitch i believe. I just kinda sits in there

I am also curious about how or if you drill your equipment with any pitch? You may have mentioned this previous but why do you drill a vent hole and how does that play effect?

I have never heard of a ring finger vent hole. What is the purpose, and with all the new rules about all holes in a ball needing to have fingers or thumbs in it, is that legal?

Yes, legal. Allows for a very snug fit and doesn’t pop at release. I don’t care for the sound.

Man I’m so disappointed I got the ball yesterday and the pro shop wouldn’t listen to me on what I wanted/Needed for my house I bowl so instead of the excitement I had I’m deflated and not sure what to do wish I knew more about layouts the ball is just lazy and won’t hook

That's when you nut up and tell them that they aren't the one bowling with the ball so drill it how you asked. You are the paying customer. If they didn't drill it how you wanted, make them order another ball.

@ I actually did go back up there they drilled a new one had to pay for grips but it’s all good
