great tutorial, but did anyone else have an issue where the lighting just wouldnt show up? i set the view to 3d lighting view and it still looked the same

Man, I loved this tutorial. I've been working in hammer for 3 years . If there was a tutorial like this when I started making maps, I would have made better maps in the beginning. P.S. Sorry for my ENG

Hi Mate, great vid! although, when I try and run my map in Hammer++ (normal hammer works fine I just found out) I get this error; LoadPortals: couldn't read c:\users\user\documents\hl2maps\ep2\Test.prt. And when I try to run in windowed mode it goes to the main menu with the console and this comes up; CModelLoader::Map_IsValid: No such map 'maps/test.bsp' map load failed: test not found or invalid material "vgui/servers/icon_replay" not found. --- Missing Vgui material vgui/servers/icon_replay material "vgui/servers/icon_replay_column" not found. --- Missing Vgui material vgui/servers/icon_replay_column Any ideas? I'm at a bit of a loss. I installed Hammer++ correctly into the ep2 bin folder with no issues as far as I'm aware. p.s. how do you select overlays again once you have unselected it plz? I can't seem to get hold of it again lol

I cant figure out how to create the floor. I make the outline and then i look in the 3d area but i dont see the textures. help

thanks! i mentioned you can move the veiw (camera) using right click or q at 1:31, though i did refer to it as veiw instead of camera so you may have missed it.
