Basically every qlder from a rugby family argues Joey isn’t the best 7 of all time what on earth do you mean Kempy lol. Forgive me for this long answer but RL 🐐is a passionate topic it’s all love read in that tone please haha: Was just the best player at a time where the game was the most popular. You can’t actually make one argument based on achievement or records for Joey imo. Even Matty said on his poddy this week he nearly retired in 05 and was 3rd choice 7 for nsw. Half his total rep games are hooker. The revisionism is crazy, don’t forget NRL bought RLW immortal trade mark when they found out all but one person were going to skip over Joey and just give Lockyer the immortal (look it up). Even then NRL changed a rule extending retirement age to prevent public backlash bc suggesting Joey was better when he barely ever had wins over lockyer and only comps when broncos had left, it woulda kicked off Lost of media work gone into manufacturing the Joey argument. Bra I completely agree with you. Idk gurus obsession with McInnes. He’s a work horse for sure, but I don’t think he offers much on the attacking side of the ball. I think him and Jurbo are way too similar to have in the same side. You only need one defensive anchor of the team. The 10 origin things always confuses me lol
