Make sure your butt is all the way back, and your back is straight. I injured myself twice slouching on the seat and curving my back sticking my chest out; I was able to lift more but injured myself every time.

Same here! Wish I saw this video and your post first. Will stick to lateral machine where you sit straight or cables.

Put your elbows to the front. You're basically pressing it behind you.

Is your back straight up against the pad. Are you locking in your abs, bracing them and breathing in and holding as you would for a squat

Yeah fair enough, just found it a bit odd. Guess if you're into wearing jewellery then you do you. Blokes wearing bracelets and stuff just isn't really much of a thing here in Australia unless you're a hippie or a metalhead lol. We're more function over form I think.
