I bought one last winter when I found a giveaway deal, thought I'd test against our regular gas-powered saws. I concur on the benefit of using indoors - battery power is the ticket on several counts. For it's size, it actually works pretty well for sectioning demo concrete, better than I thought. The DeWalt diamond blades work as well as anything we've used on the bigger saws, longevity seems to be as good as quality 14" brands. We had a big saw break down on a patio removal last spring, had the DeWalt as a backup, performed well, cut deep enough that we were able to tear the slab apart with the mini in about the same time. Torque is decent, don't push too hard, use correct cutting technique and it'll roll right along. Where it really shines is on rebar, we do a fair bit of flatwork and I really like the DeWalt for that. No, it won't cut big bundles of sticks very efficiently, but it works like a champ on maybe 10 sticks on down to a stick or two. Pull the trigger and it cuts, slower blade but instant start and run so saves time in the long run, much lighter and more maneuverable. Building cages for piers, forming monoslab webs and edge structures, sectioning sticks for ties and sono tubes..it's great. If DeWalt comes out with a twin battery Flexvolt model that'll take a 14" blade, or even 12", I'll be in and so will more than one contractor I know. Gotta have 4" of cut depth and a little longer run time to take care of most average sidewalk and slabs. I'll be spending more money on batteries, but I've got a fair sized yellow platform so that's okay.

that's great to hear! i really hope they come out with a larger model as well. I just used it on a patio we had to break up and it really helped speed up the job in the removal. very handy to have around.thanks for watching!

I’m looking to purchase something like this. Would love to use the dewalt. My question is, does it have any kind of track accessory to make a perfectly straight long cut?

Unfortunately not. But still a very handy tool.

I have the Milwaukee version of this and the problem with it is that the batteries overheat pretty quickly. Did you have any issues with overheating when cutting for extended periods of time? I would assume the dewalt batteries would handle the load better since they are 60v and shouldn't get as hot pulling the same amperage. Thanks.

@@christopherlastname7638 What were you cutting and how far did you cut, were you using water and did the batteries overheat, or the saw itself? Curious to know, thanks!
