Glad mine came with these lights installed. But I plan on finding a way to tie in to the pre ran lines for more lighting in the bed.

@@johns2590 yup, had to find LED strip lighting and wire them up to the lines that were on the existing bed lighting. Mine didn't throw any codes when I wired them up.

The Light Kit should have came with a Genie Software Flash Module. Mine did. Installed the lights, stuck the Genie in the mod port under the dash, followed the instructions, lights work just fine. Also installed the OEM Electric Trailer Brake switch. Same type install without a single issue.

Some guy’s will figure out a battery powered led light matching the OEM size and shape but avoiding all the wiring hassle.

$150 for the lights and then $200 to flash the computer and make it work at the dealership so you're looking at almost $400 after tax that is like not worth it at all LOL

2022 2500.. there is another box in the way of the plugs and what a PITA. The G (blue connector) with pin 16 wasn't too difficult, but the F connector was a nightmare to get off/on.. Thank god for small hands. I also didn't need to use the fuse panel connection 17.. The lights work fine after tapping into G16 and F6 (which kind of tells me there is probably a plug in the back somewhere I didn't find and didn't need to do any of that, but now I have some new intel for future add-ons.

For the life of me I cannot understand why they were not included on my Rebel. With a sticker over $60k how the hell do you justify leaving that out? So disappointing. My previous Sierra had them and they really came in handy camping and tailgating. I don't want to tear up a brand new, expensive truck, to put them in. Dumb. Very dumb.

Looks like you can see the white paint on the passenger side. Looks like the light doesn't cover the whole area that the previous cover did. Looks nice though.

Just did this install, my instructions pictures had the correct location for wires. Bed lights don't work but the switch on the light will turn off the upper cargo light, guess I'll be going to the dealer.

Question . 2023 larimi is what i have.. shouldn’t it be pre wired behind the rubber cap in the bed? For 70k id figure when i remove my caps there should be a wire harness to plug into??

Do a KZbin search there is a different location to pin the wires to so you don't need the reflash

@@rywheat99 I saw the vid and it did seem to work but remember if you tap into the harness in a way not directed by the manufacturer they could in theory could try and blame any electrical issues on any modifications to the wiring plus I would never recommend using wire taps like in the video they can cause so many issues I think at the end of the day I'll get mine programmed at the dealer but each to their own.

@hammerdownmotorsportsusa Great job on the video!! You have undoubtedly helped many other Ram owners taking on this install themselves! Question for ya.. I've been reading that pins 5 & 16 from under the dash both have pre existing wires that travel along the frame to the wiring harness connection (XY670A) shown at 3:42 - 3:47 in your video. Are you able to confirm if this is true? If so, I think I should be able to just add the two pinned wires from the Mopar Kit into the empty pin slots at the rear side of that XY670A harness near the rear driver's side tire rather than running that kit's wire the length of the truck and through the firewall. I'd just have to shorten and re-pin those two wires, or Coil it and zip tie it up and out of the way of any heat/pinch hazards.

Yeah , nothings simple nowadays. Luckily my Ram already had them in from factory. But not nearly enough light so I tided 2 stands of lights on each side up in the rails so you cant really see them plus if I didn't 't you'd get blinded at night they are so bright.

Hammerdown Motorsports I told the tech and he said that you shouldn’t t have to wait for the backup camera come back. They won’t even let me take my truck until they get a call from a senior technician on Monday. Ridiculous!

That would probably cause a fault code it’s best just to order it from the factory but the mouth breathers at the dealership didn’t think it was worth the 200 bucks on a 62k$ truck then it cost me 380 plus my time

@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA it's a bummer that you can't even install some LED lights without fault codes coming up or potentially ruining your warranty. With my 2008 Dodge ram I could wire up anything extra fog lights behind the grill or just add an additional cigarette lighter for extra chargers etc. I used to hardwire my radar detector. And there was no issues. So what if somebody wanted to hardwire a dash cam to the top of the windshield where do they connected to so it's hidden?

There is a different way to wire it I’ve seen on KZbin that will work without programming but the way I did it required a trip to the dealer
