Good review of a neat pistol. One point of clarification though, the rail isn't just for aesthetics - it's compatible with various lights and attachments designed to also fit the Sig P365.

The MC2sc has a bumped out area behind the mag release button to prevent inadvertent mag release when holstered and during handling. They neglected to put this on the bigger MC2c. This makes the mag button on the bigger model too exposed in my opinion. I put a stick on black rubber temporary rubber dot/pad (about 2.5 mm thick) there on my MC2c and it helps but could be even thicker. Once I find the best material and thickness, I will likely superglue a more permanent dot there.

If people are wondering what allows the slide to come off with the Mossberg system, removing the striker prevents the striker lug fron catching on the sear (no trigger pull required) and removing the heavy duty metal back plate keeps it from abutting a polymer raised area behind the rear frame rails. I am a little concerned that this is metal on polymer impact. I recommend NOT slamming the slide closed on an empty gun. Riding the slide on an empty gun or lowering the slide on a dummy round or loading a live round dissipates much of this force.
@7prs9652 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I wondered about that. Although there's a patent on this design wondered what kept other striker fired pistols from having a similar takedown especially ones that require tools lol.

Really enjoy watching your review on this pistol. I've handled one several times now and really fits nicely. Mossberg not fully recognized? I think you said a key..You bought this gun. Mossberg really seems to me to be a wonderful Blue-collar working man's company..and maybe that also shows up in their marketing? Not sending out pistols to every influencer in the Gunverse? Very few reviews on this pistol out there.

Another great video. A lot to like on this pistol. I especially like the flat trigger. However, I agree with you on the rail. They made a groove, Just finish it with a slot. If they continue to be available under MSRP I think they're a good value. At full MSRP price I don't see that they have enough to distinguish them from others that have secured themselves in the market such as the Sig P365 , the Springfield Hellcat and the Glock G26/27/33 family

How is the extractor tension on your MC2sc? On my 13/15rd MC2c, it was way too high causing feed hesitation. Couldn't budge the extractor much at all with a bare finger and the bare slide held a round/rim in a death grip. I clipped (in two stages) a total of one coil from the extractor spring and lightly honed the extractor claw. Now feeds much smoother on riding the slide testing on brass-rimmed dummy rounds. Can now move the extractor with firm finger pressure and the bare slide grips a round/rim firmly but less than the previous death grip. Haven't been able to test fire yet, but felt like out of the box it wasn't range ready and would have had feeding problems. I scrutinize the extractor on every pistol I buy once I get it home. The extractor tension should be firm enough to hold a full round to the bare slide by the round's own weight and a mild shake. It should not be too firm to cause significant feed hesitation. If extractor tension is out of spec, range testing would just be frustrating, a waste of ammo, and confidence defeating.

Maybe I had an off day but I just shot mine last night for the first time and it kicks/recoils way harder than the Hellcat or P365. It was hard to get traction on the grip when firing too. The trigger was painful, the little bump out at the bottom is sharp when shooting. I struggled with keeping hits on target when firing 1 round per second. Frustrated, I then decided to try my Beretta px4 storm compact with it's 3.25" barrel (the MC2sc has a 3.4") and man what a difference! I was on point tearing one hole at the same 21 feet. Not sure what to think at this point.....I may sell it. 🤔

Different guns... can’t compare a micro 9mm with a Beretta px4 storm , build for different purposes. I have the same observation here. Can’t find one micro that convinced me to beat my Walther PPS LE. Try the MC2c instead of the mc2sc. Let us know . Don’t sale the Beretta.

See this as more falling into that Glock 26 / S&W M&P 2.0 Subcompact no-mans-land and would probably buy those two before this. Funky takedown and faux rail are negatives. Brand, value and capacity are its greatest attributes.

You are confused. The MC2sc is lighter and thinner than either of the 2 you mentioned. Basically, if we went off your views then the Shield 9 is in no man's land?? Because this gun is about the same except for the MC2sc is even lighter and shorter overall than the shield! So ya, definitely closer to a micro 9 than those fat heavy pigs you mentioned. The takedown is brilliant too. Lot's of rounds accidentally fired from guns that people who don't have the option of taking their gun apart without pulling the trigger. The rail is meh, who cares really. Most carry guns will never have a light mounted to the rail anyway. Anyway, so far this looks to be a winner.

I have both the 2C and 2sc. The mags are interchangeable. I bought a few 15 mags for my 2C and now use them on the 2sc. I will buy another 14 mag for the 2sc to get the mag grip extender and put that on the 15 round mag so I don't have a gap on the 2sc and use the 14 round mag, which fits flush on the 2C.
