I'm a huge CZ fan and will continue to be. Next will be the Shadow 2. Everyone that shoots one, falls in love with it and wants one. I don't push it either, they just say, damn, that's good.

Excellent choice for EDC. It has been in my primary carry rotation for the past 6 months and it conceals very well with any attire from shorts/sweats to slacks/suit (I comfortably carry it wearing sweatpants on my daily 5 mile walk). I carry appendix IWB in an Urban Carry Lock-leather holster, and even sitting down it rides very comfortably. It is simply a dream to shoot and is extremely accurate. I consistently shoot less than 2 inch groups at 7-10 yards. BTW, the perfect distance to bring the slide back for takedown is right up to the half cocked hammer position (where the hammer stops when de-cocking). There the takedown pin comes right out. It has been everything I look for in a carry weapon. The size, firepower, capacity, reliability and accuracy all in a metal constructed DA/SA hammer fired weapon with no safety. What more could you ask for? Great review, thanks for posting!

I picked up the safety model about a month ago (no bd de-cocker model in stock anywhere local). Installed cajun gun works dawson precision night sights on it as soon as I could get them. I manually lower the hammer to half cock to practice double action shooting and prefer to carry that way in my pocket holster. Also half cock is where you start when disassembling per the owners manual (the slide his the half cocked hammer and the pin can be knocked out). For a 3” barrel the pistol has amazing accuracy as was seen in the beginning of your video. CGW has parts to make the trigger lighter but I am happy it is heavier in da during pocket or appendix carry. If I ever carry owb, I may carry cocked and locked like a 1911. Good review as always and great cz.

I really liked the concept of the Rami. In practice, I found it chunky and less pleasant to shoot verses the CZ PCR. The PCR has a frame just a smidge larger and not much heavier. That ever so slightly larger frame makes shooting the firearm so much better ( in my opinion). While the Rami is well built and has a cult hipster feel, I would go with the PCR.

Rob- Thanks for your input on the PCR! I'm really on the fence with picking up a Rami, esp. since they aren't available new in the box anymore. Would have to get on Gunbrokers, and pay like $850+ for a used one. Have owned a Sig 229 40cal for years, and never assumed I would need another sidearm, but those PCR's look VERY sweet, and I've already scoped out a place near Richmond VA to purchase, when I get the funds. Is probably about the same size and weight as my Sig, but after watching 👀 quite a few reviews of PCR, don't think I'll be able to resist.

These DA/SA hammer guns are great, they're just heavy!! A p365 comes in at 18 oz, and P365XL comes in at 21oz. This thing at 26-27 oz is a boat anchor by comparison. Even something a bit lighter like a P30SK is 24oz!! Weight matters guys. That's my issue with guns like this. Otherwise? They're outstanding
@d.a.hammerfire40234 жыл бұрын
I agree that weight matters and this is how I look at it. The heavier the better in comparable sized hand guns .380 acp and up, because it would most likely be holster carried and the weight is not a comfort factor (but size and firepower are). For pocket or ankle carry (.32 acp and down), the lighter the better. It is just a fact that the heavier a gun is the less recoil you will have, thereby lending to better control and follow up shots. Bottom line, one gun does not fit all purposes. A featherweight 9mm or 38 special will be no good to you if you can't control it and hit your target.

👍Decent weapon but w/ its own set of flaws. It fits my hand well w/ the 14 round mag. Mine stays in the safe nowadays due to what I consider high maintenance. Surprised to learn while reading manual:::factory says replace recoil springs before 600 cycles. I had already experienced the slide NOT going all way into battery when approaching 500 rounds. Also, hammer spring pin failed around same time. Disappointed to say the least. Yes, I bought mine new around 2016. $600 then. I want to love the gun but can't trust it for EDC. The only way you can do that is have the slide milled with the risk of there being an internal component that is too close to the top that gets hit/damaged.
