HK VP9 SK vs HK P30 SK - Mercedes vs Mercedes?

Comparing these two compact/subcompact 9mm offerings from Hecker and Koch is kinda like comparing two Mercedes Benz models. The HK VP9SK is the carry size version of the VP9. The HK P30SK is the carry size version of the HK P30. One is striker fired and one is hammer fired. The VP9 SK is the B version, named appropriately HK VP9SK-B. The P30 is officially named HK P30SK-S V3. We hope you enjoy this review!

Love both but I’m more of a P30 guy than a VP9 guy. Can’t go wrong with the VP9, though. Great gun. The P30 just works better for me.

Perfect timing on this video,! I'm saving up for an LTT P30l and compete with a vp9match. I can get a p30sk lem cheap locally and after watching this. Now I know I need to snatch it!

The LTT P30 series is fantastic. You won’t be disappointed. I have all three models. Usually carry the standard P30 but have holsters for all three.

The HK VP9 is an excellent firearm. I love mine. I carry it 4 days every week. Built heavy duty and it fires accurate.

Grayguns flat trigger and short reset makes a huge difference in the p30. At least it did for me in my regular P30.

As always a great through review. For me the VP9 sk due to the trigger. I like to stage the trigger and prefer the wall before the trigger breaks.

Great video. I had my P30sks milled for a Holosun 407 k with a 6 MOA dot. With the customizable grip, I have a palm swell on the right side which makes the pistol perfect for my hands. The gun is mondo accurate with the red dot and since I carry it locked and cocked with one in the chamber (safety on like a 1911), I only shoot it SA. I haven't shot DA since I bought the gun. It is my favorite pistol, tied for first place with my Walther full size PDP.

Fantastic tools. I really like both (when paddle equipped). If I must choose one, it will be the P30SK...For me the da/sa rocks. Would really like to send one or buy one from LTT.

You can buy factory optics-cut VP9SK slides from CDNN. I have both the VP9SK and P30SK. Love them both but carry Glocks. It should be noted that the DAO P30SK has a long trigger pull.

You have a VP9B. The original doesn't use a button. The original VP9 uses the ambidextrous paddle release.

Appreciate the video. Have a VP9 but like the slightly smaller size of these pistols for concealed carry. Paddle release is better for this left-handed person.

i purchased my VP9 SK when it first came out for around $485 on a preorder at an online gun store when it first came out. After shipping and a $20 transfer fee at my local FFL it came out to around $519 from what I can remember give or take a few. Wow I can't believe how much these went up in price.

HK is all about quality of build and parts. Field strip an HK next to a Canik, and you will see how much more robust the HK is. HK can easily shoot 100,000 rounds, the Canik would fall apart long before that. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for.

I paid about 650 for my P30sk LEM. It’s the best shooting gun I have ever owned. Shockingly accurate. It was not overpriced

@@quoththeraven7 I agree with you that they all do the same thing. I can shoot my original Springfield XD as well as my newer plastic strikers. My point is the HK is just built more robust. Look a Honda will get you from point A to B like a Maserati will.
