I still cut with chainsaw and grapple skidder in Maine. Weather has been awful for a year wet summers warm winter.

I think I would not mind difficult wood videos, problem solving is what makes things interesting. Zipping through straight sticks only entertaining for a little while.

Try keeping up with grapple swing yarder with shovel feeding it with mixed spieces mostly alder not saw log either with stroker lot of fun

Nice combo! The 855s are nice but not all they’re cracked up to be. Unstable and low visibility. I would take the link belt any day!

Could you show a video on how you set up to your deck I don't think I'm doing it right I have to turn the wood always

Thought about doing that years ago. Aim down the deck a couple track lengths. Never let the wood force you back. Put it somewhere in front. When you move back you put down a few square to your tracks and build up from them. In the worst cases you gotta hop out front and move enough to get a fresh start. Use the long butts backwards in the gaps when you build up the new layer

Union job currently 41/hr. 45-50hrs a week + travel both ways from marshal point- Driving pickup is adjusted to overtime rate. 2/3rds hour bonus/service per day

2/3rds 'bonus' covers things like cardlock, supply runs, dropping off /picking up hoses, timesheets & delivery, having own tools, etc
