Let's go through a rundown of my hammock camping setup! I forgot the stakes for my tarp, and this video was long enough without a tarp run-through, so know that this isn't the FULL setup, but I'll be following up with a video of my tarp setups shortly.
I know I say "this isn't super cheap" a few times and I kept reiterating that point because you could easily be happy with something much less expensive. There are MANY other options out there. You don't need to drop $500+ to get into hammock camping. If you already have a sleeping pad and bag, all you need is a hammock and suspension which can be had for as low as $60, and a tarp which you can make or buy for under $100. If you want a more configurable hammock and lighter, smaller quilts that are specially made for hammock camping, you'll have to spend some more money, but I believe they greatly enhance the experience! I've come to love sleeping in a hammock as a result of my somewhat-dialed setup.
Again, I'll be going over my tarp setups in a follow-up video. There's a decent bit to talk about, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
Let me know any questions, comments, corrections, or any feedback you have! I really appreciate it!
Thanks for watching!!
