Excellent video. I have been a tent person my whole life but have been as of late, interested in hammocks. My main concern along with storing my pack & gear from the elements/creatures & weather has always been: what if there are no suitable trees where I am camping to hang a hammock? Your solution is nothing more than simple, common sense & very smart & practical. Thank-you for the demonstration.

Awesome idea. I don't have the mosquito net, but I think that I will try something similar with just a mat and a tarp. great video. Danke.

Danke auch ;) Ya even without a mossy net it should make sense, at least less insects from the ground, like in a cocoon and no moving sleeping pad. Take care, Sepp

Very good setup Sepp, I almost have the exact kit with exception to the tarp. I like the durability of the Hennessy Hex-Tarp for my area in the Rockie Mountains. Excellent demo once again and an idea I will try soon. Stay in the dirt Sepp and say hi to everyone of your friends for me!

Thank you for a great video, Sepp. You explain your setup very well. I have a Hennessy hammock, so now I want to try your layout for myself. The diamond shaped tarp that comes with the Hennessy is a bit small, so I will probably have to use a 3mx3m (10 ft x 10 ft) tarp instead. I love your countryside; it is very beautiful. And your happy get-togethers with 50 people would be a wonderful experience. All the best from Sydney, Australia.

Hello there "Sepp" I see you haven't lost your touch Mate, I'm not a big fan of Hammocks myself so that would be a better idea than buying a tent in the short term, I hope you enjoyed your gathering with lots Of Good (NO!, wonderful) german beer, I keep watching your channel but I do not comment as much so you must be doing it right (HO, HO). Just an idea, if you filled that sleeping mat with expanding foam you could go surfing DUDE!!!, It's great to see you again mate my love to you and yours, stay safe my friend, all the very, very best, your pal Bob.
