Been a hammock / tarp fan for about a year now. Can't think of a reason to go back to a tent. Advantages I like: out of reach of creepy crawlys, don't wake up in a puddle after a heavy rain, comfortable sleep. You do Karl better than Billy Bob Thornton. Really enjoy your videos.

@shugemery Yeah ... It was "Pizza Boy" (Italian?) who's Hennessy vs. Warbonnet comparison vid suggested that an interior ridgeline was a great attachment point for "gear access ( 'n danglin' 'n such) ... Seems like a great idea to this noob (and whotnot) ... Your technique is surely most highly evolved ... but I still might want to try going UNDER, for the sake of utility/access, maybe just having as many as 3 dedicated prussic drip-tails, just outside (and inside?) ... Till I see yer point

Hi Sean. Since this video is over five years old I'm a little self-conscious about posing questions now, and will therefore avoid eye-contact and shuffle my feet a little when I ask why you went away from the seemingly simple and reliable toggle system for over-tarp ridge lines. I think a continuous over-tarp line will be my first attempted tarp rig as a rookie and had planned on using Prusik-looped aluminium tube toggles and am curious to know what I don't know.
