I bought an M3 that needed a ton of work on it. Stripped off all of the flaky finish and applied a nice hand wax to the beautiful wood. Did the poor man’s foldback on the upper manual and the lower manual foldback mod for lower bass tones. It’s a really special instrument and I can see why they were called the “Baby B3”. It oozes mojo and I try to play it every day.

I have a 65 M102 ( originally from a BBC studio). It is now resting in my old hen house, waiting for a restoration one day. Worked well through my 147, and often suited me better between two loud guitars, as it sound a little bit thinner then my A100, and wanted to stick through. But the M3 have the keys I prefer.

Nice! I've had a lovely old M100 and Leslie 145 in my studio for nearly 20 years and it does great as a recording organ and gets used all the time - except the keys are a little brittle with age!

Thanks for the video! My first Hamnond was also a 1958 M3, which was paired with Leslie 147. Although it had an overall nice sound, I always found the lack of lower octaves and no foldback made it sound a bit thin.

Just to say, I’ve recently bought an M102 factory split. But I also have an M100. Unfortunately there’s not enough space for two! So I’m going to donate the M100 for free for someone who can appreciate her; any suggestions Nick? Best Mark

Hi Nick, Near Guildford Surrey. The M100 is in my apartment so two pairs of strong arms! It’s a beautiful sound and needs a loving home. It’s the one my profile pic…

So speed bumps are useful after all. 🤭 It's a spinet but it looks enormous for some reason or have you been standing in the rain🌧️❓ It's a beautiful looking thing. Born same year as me. The best things were made in 1958.🤣👍

Did someone do a foldback on this? Or just the scanner? Got amazing tone. That's with no Leslie? wow

Nice Video! I have read that this M3 has less Drawbars compared with a B3 or C3 that is correct?
