Dear Nick, I am almost at your age. You are totally right; what you’re doing is pure greatness. I started playing keyboard after 40 years old. And I benefit a lot from your videos thank you so much.

Wonderful insight. Thank you Nick. Most of my time playing organ was on a vintage Korg CX3; which I absolutely loved. It's only been very recently that I pulled the trigger on a Hammond XK-4. This channel has been invaluable to me as I learn my way around the damn thing 😅 Cheers mate x

Great video, Nick! I'm a self-taught Hammond player. I can't read music and learned by listening to records and playing by ear. I would say that I'm an intermediate player, at best. I think that the biggest mistake I made along the way was not learning the pentatonic scale. It has kept me from being a more advanced player, especially when it comes to soloing.

Good on you Nick. As an oldie, I was lucky enough to start in music shops when tonewheel Hammonds were still being built! Of course we demonstrated playing tunes so never got into the riffs and licks until my fingers had started playing up and slowing down. Great to see and well done for encouraging those new to our favourite instrument 👏

Brilliant as usual Nick ... I was going to mention you could have inserted a wee overhead in the corner when you started talking about the dodgy drawbar with no indication of pipe sizes etc... then up popped the over head ... anyway cheers matey ..

Now just hang on a minute 😠 I'm a boomer but I haven't decayed into a nasty, climate changing fossil fuel just yet 🤣 I love the way you're happy to share your tips and tricks and encourage us all to have a go. You never show off or talk down to viewers or make anyone feel like maybe they're a bit of moron which is really refreshing for morons like me 🤣 You're a very nice cool dude and I'm happy to be subscribed to your channel.👍

Then you have the Leslie ... wicked ... we played a gig supporting Ian Durys blockheads and the band only had initially one roadie ... after our sound check he asked if we could help get the kit on the stage at Farnham Maltings .. bloody heck took 6 of us as it was bloody heavy .. cheers
