Hi Sandy, great video!! I love my Stamp Perfect. I also laminated a grid sheet and you're right, it's great for lining up sentiments. Thanks for sharing!!
@craftingforalmosteveryone7 жыл бұрын
Lynn, Thanks for the nice note. I love when I off set a stamp and get ink on the grid and just wipe it right off. I think the grid sheet is the best part. I did one video with the MISTI, where I used my grid sheet for my watercolor mixing and it worked great. Sandy

I laminated a piece of white cardstock for mixing watercolor too. It's easy to just wipe it off when finished painting. It also works with acrylics.

Carolyn, I do a lot of videos to help people buy the right tools and the lowest prices. If you have any questions about scissors, paper trimmers, inks, etc., please let me know and I'd be happy to do a video (if I haven't already.) It's so hard when you are a new stamper, as people take things for granted, like an A2 size card. I had no idea what that meant and no one explained it, so I really try to explain things like everyone is at the stage I was at when I first started watching videos. Please ask anytime, I'm always happy to help. Sandy

Sandy,I use pretty duck tape on my magnets because washi tape did not last long. Duck tape completely covers your magnets and if one breaks, pieces will be contained inside of tape.

This was fantastic. Thanks for sharing! I love that it's in my price range not only for me, but for my 13 year old daughter to use as well. I wouldn't feel comfortable letting her use a $60+ tool as she's not yet responsible enough on her own to properly care for it. But this is in that range of "replaceable" if something happens. She LOVES crafting (ugh, you should see my tiny apartment when she's working on a project!!). This video solidified my decision to buy one (with a coupon! Lol). Thanks again!!
@craftingforalmosteveryone7 жыл бұрын
Jennifer, I'm so glad to help. The covered grid sheet should make clean up for your daughter a lot easier as otherwise when she stamps on the foam, you'll get ink in it. I can't wait to hear how you and your daughter like it. My close friend has a daughter who is almost twelve. She watches my videos then goes into her room and pretends she's me and replicates the project. My girlfriend said her daughter's room looks like a tornado hit it when she's done crafting, so I can't imagine how your apartment looks after your daughter's made a project. I think it's terrific though, that's she interested in something creative and that you share this love of crafts. Use those coupons, YAY! Sandy

Katz, You probably have seen the video of mine where they recalled the Stamp Perfect in the US. I had one viewer buy one at their Hobby Lobby today with their coupon, for $15 so if you have a large Hobby Lobby near you, you should check to see if they still have any left if you haven't purchased one yet. I do hope you find one as they will make stamping so much easier for you. I almost never use anything else now because these tools just make it so much easier. Sandy

Fantastic tutorial! I just printed the grid sheet thanks so much for doing this. I have nerve damage which affects my feet and hands. All of your tips are greatly appreciated. The washi tape on the magnets is smart I have had them shatter all over. I also love the washi on the door really helps. The amount of time I waste on trying to pinch and pick at things just to make them usable is driving me crazy. You are a great help. Thank you so much 😄
@craftingforalmosteveryone7 жыл бұрын
Susan, Thanks for your nice note. I think those magnets are really dangerous, yet there's no warning about them and I'm sure people have been hit in the eye with those shards. Separating them is also a horror for me. The washi has helped with that as well. Make sure you use a couple of layers. I had one viewer mention using duct tape on the long magnet. I don't recommend that long one though, because it is really too strong for me, even with duct tape on it, it would be a nightmare to pick up and move around. I am so glad to help and hope if you have a tool that doesn't work for you, that you'll let me know and I'll see if I have found ways to make it work for me. We all get frustrated with tools that aren't made to work for everyone...the one that has eluded me is ATG guns. So frustrating. Thanks for watching my videos. Sandy

Hello from Texas Sandy Parker (McGuire)!!!! Was so excited to see a new video from you. Two weeks after closing we spent the first night in our new house last night. I am getting closer to crafting in my own room. The dogs are in the living room, the chickens are out in the coop and the cats are freaked out under the bed lol. Thank you for making this video and especially for telling us about the magnets. I seem to have lost the ones that came with my Misti so will be getting new ones. I always love your videos and appreciate how you take the time to show us how to do things including all the insider tips. I like the idea of using Pam on it but then I start thinking about putting two pieces of bread with a piece of cheese and putting it out in the hot Texas sun. 😁 Maybe I should eat first lol. Take care of yourself my friend.

Honestly, your sense of humor is so familiar to me and I love hearing from you! So glad you are in the new house and can't wait to see pictures of your new craft room in operation. More importantly, would love to see pictures of the dogs, cats and chickens. saundralparker@yahoo.com. Waiting to see the Texas pics. I hear you have sun there. I did get a note from someone who thought I didn't understand I should turn the MISTI around because we lefties sometimes use our right hands as well--it was my fault, as right handed people don't use their left hands like we use our right, so she thought I was right handed. I like that the Stamp Perfect doesn't have a right handed grid like MISTI has. Thanks for your note as always!

Debbie, This tool more than any other is crucial for people with any kind of hand/wrist issues and I really wanted to make sure I knew as much about it as possible before I did this video. The Hampton Arts people are very serious about their customer service and that was all I really needed to know before I did this. I think you'll really like it and hope especially if you have any hand/wrist issues that you find it a huge help. I forgot to mention that I usually rub my lid with a cloth when stamping so there's no friction on my joints. (I always forget to mention a few things.) Jeepers! Let me know how you like yours. Joann had it featured in their flier for this next week and if you have any of the bigger Joann's/Michaels, they should have them in the store. You can always check online for Joanns, by picking the stores near you and they will tell you how many they have in stock on their website. Hope that helped... Sandy

Sandy, I just got an email from Hallmark Scrapbookers And crafts an online store where I purchased my Stamp Perfect and they were " Discontinuing" the Hampton Art and the We R Memory keepers stamp positioning tool. Their email ad said they were no longer going to be sold in the USA. They had them both priced at $14.99. Reg $24 and $34. I thought I'd mention it because both those units are more left handed friendly and the We R Memory is a larger unit which works better for stamping off the card on larger stamps because the 5x7 paper will fit with room to get the stamp off the paper in an 8x10 positioner. Since you spoke with Hampton ART I'm surprised they didn't mention it. But maybe they don't know yet.
@craftingforalmosteveryone7 жыл бұрын
Wow, that's weird. I have a friend that bought the WRMK tool and hates it as there is nothing to hold the paper in place so it moves all over. She said it was the worst crafting tool she's ever bought. Also weird is the fact that HSN just had a crafting special day on March 8th and I saw them showing the WRMK model and never said anything about it not being available in the US in the future. I wonder if Hallmark was just saying they were no longer carrying it in the US? No, Hampton Arts people never said a word about it and I find that odd because they knew I was doing a video about it. The other strange thing is that it's really just become available in retail stores in the last few months. I guess we'll wait to see if that's the case or not. Both of those companies, Hampton Arts and WRMK are both American based companies according to their websites so it would be strange that they wouldn't sell their products in the USA. Just my thoughts, but thanks for the info.. Sandy
@denaheck15067 жыл бұрын
Sandy I would forward my email from Hallmark but don't know how to email you. But this is a copy paste from the Hallmark email. ". Stamp Positioning tool Clearance! ONLY $15.99 Each! That's at least 50% OFF! These two awesome Stamp Positioning tools are being discontinued - get them through Sunday Night ONLY! When They're gone, they're gone. Fine Print: All Sales on these are final. This version of these items will not be sold in the U.S. any longer. " Thanks for the heads up on the WRMK because I'm looking for a larger model but can't afford a $100 misti. So I'll keep looking for another solution on that. So much enjoyed your video. Love your struggles to find those things that make art available to all people a little easier.

My email address is saundralparker@yahoo.com. If you forward that email to me, I'll send it to Hampton Arts and ask them if they are discontinuing selling the Stamp Perfect in the US and I'll let you know. I'll let you know what I find out once you send the email to me and I hear back from Hampton Arts. Sandy

Thank you for that information I live in AZ so I will be watching for it to come out. I wanted to let you know about a tool that has been very helpful to me is the power punch I use to have to use my foot then my feet got so bad. I don't know where to tell you to get it because I have had mine for a very long time. There are two sizes I have the small one and it is sufficient. It only works for the punches like stamp in up has the flat kind but it works real well. I just wanted to share that with you. I lost my husband my helper and extra hands he was always so supportive I have had such a bad flare up I am looking forward to getting up and going again. Blessings....Lorene
@craftingforalmosteveryone7 жыл бұрын
Lorene, I have that tool and haven't really used it because I like the punches with the handle and not the button. We are talking about the same tool right? It's like a really big lever? I'm so sorry you've lost your husband, I can't begin to imagine life without Rich. If you have any other tools you struggle with using, I might have come up with a way to make it work or found another style that works for me. I'm always happy to help. Sorry you're in a bad flare, they are the worst. Hate it when I just can't think because of the flare. Wishing you a fast recovery. Taking prednisone? Only thing that works for me. I hate the side effects, but can't take the flare, so it's not an easy trade-off, but you know that. I'm wishing you well. Sandy

I wanted this channel to work for "almost everyone" because I was hoping I could reach out to as many people that could use an outlet for creativity as possible. It's so frustrating to not find KZbin channels for crafts when you don't fit the typical mold. The tools others use didn't work for me and I couldn't find anyone who could help me on KZbin, so I started the channel. The most difficult part about it is how do the people who will benefit, find the channel? It's great people like you spreading the word. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it! Sandy

there is a grid under the foam so why would you need to make ur own? when I have a stamp in it my does NOT close either. is mine broken and should I ask for a new one?
@craftingforalmosteveryone7 жыл бұрын
You need the grid because when you stamp with acrylic stamps, the foam is there and that covers the grid inside. The plastic on top of the grid will protect your foam so you don't get ink on it and it makes clean-up a breeze. I'm not sure how big your gap is, but mine was almost 1/2" which is unusual. There should be a small gap but not as big as mine. I think my door was warped as I have trouble stamping near the door. If you can't stamp near the door, you should contact them, otherwise, yours is probably fine. Hope that helped. Sandy

U are gonna think I'm nuts but I've asked so many u tubers to do a video about what I'm gonna ask n they all say they will n no one has of yet n in two months it will be a year I'm crafting. Lol so ya know the cutting boards we all use to cut out card stock? Well I have a small one n a 12 x 12 one and I can't figure how to read the measurement once my paper is in so I always have to mark it j it's such a pain in the butt. Lol. Can u make a video on how to read the measurements as u r cutting on ur cutting board? I know it's silly but I need help. Xozo

Jennie, Your note was so sweet.Can you tell me the brand of paper trimmer you are using so if I have that brand I can walk you through it in a video? Do you have trouble seeing the marks or lining up the paper or both? If you tell me exactly what you struggle with, I'll make you the video and a promise is a promise. I WILL make the video for you Jennie, don't worry. The more information you give me, the better, though, so I make what you need. Sandy

We are outside of Houston but I was born in East Texas about fifty miles from Dallas. Just sent you some pictures of our menagerie to your email.
