Ps. I have a double critter nation for my 5 rats and it's great, the big doors make cleaning so so much easier. I also love how customisable it is with the adjustable levels, and that you can hang stuff underneath them. I believe there are also some duplicates in America that are basically the same but cheaper, but I don't remember their name.

I got my first syrian hamster in August and you were the first person that I watched when I did my research beforehand. A very adorable Hamster 🤩😍 One Tip: You must disassemble the wheel when you want to clean it completely. Otherwise it will stink quickly. I have one too 😉

I love dollar store bins for ratties! I color coordinate my setups just for fun. If you buy bird chain from amazon (12.99 for 400 in rainbow colors... you’ll have enough to do any color combos you want) I have a double critter nation cage now and I spend about 15 dollars to fill the whole thing with bins. Granted, I have only two rats in there, and more rats will take more hides, but I find that the paper stacking bins are perfect to secure under the cage shelves and make great hides. Potty training your rats and using fleece/ uhaul pads makes it soooo easy to clean. But I also give a bedding dig box for fun, so they have the opportunity to dig around. Anyway, I’m excited for you!

whats the alligator chew called and he seems so calm! my syrian is in a cage the size of your tank and loves to climb the bars! He has about 5-6 chew toys, and a wheel and his house, still climbs and chews the bars. Solutions! We tried a bin and he escaped and werent fond of it! We also tried a tank but he liked to try and climb that and would smack the water bottle...

I work in a small pet shop- I can confirm. Feeder rats always usually have a short life span, but sometimes they’ll die within weeks or a week of being home due to respiratory infection. It’s out of the blue and most times untreatable. We only sell feeder rats we don’t have a separate area for pet rats- we just sell feeders as pets. We always get in super cute ones. We always have in black and white ones and tan, but sometimes we will get in solid blacks with white bellies or solid tans or even greys. Some of our employees took home some rats of the last batch and they all passed within the week. It really depends how they are in the climate and how old they are- babies “ small “ rats are affected more so and are usually the ones to pass.

There is a momma rat with a litter of babies at a rescue called Critter Junction/Head To Tails in Fond du Lac. You should look into that.

I know this isn’t on topic, but I’ve had my hamster for about six and a half months, and she doesn’t like being held or interacted with. She has a safe wheel, cage, and a lot of toys, but I can’t get her to interact with me at all. She will willingly walk on my hand to get treats and will be held for short amounts of time. Is there anything I can do to help bond with her? If you could respond that would be great. My hamster is super special to me :)

PLEASE HELP ME, I have a gaming PC right next to my hamster cage, it does have bright lights that turn different colors and I stay up really late to play games like midnight to 1am and I am concered that he is messed up his sleep and activity scheduled, he is hiding under his ramp thats attached to his play house and he never comes out until I go upstairs, are the lights affecting him Im very worried and im getting upset with myself because I do not know what to do HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!! THERE is also fans in the computer will that affect it? He also does hide under this ramp that connects to his little hideout is that a problem he is very skidish i feel so bad right now please help me

I have a single male rat and I’m looking for a friend for him. My friend was very low on money and couldn’t afford to keep him anymore. Poor baby was in a CRITTER TRAIL CAGE!!! AN ADULT MALE LARGE RAT IN A CRITTER TRAL!! He obviously couldn’t fit through the tubes or anything. He is so precious and he is currently in a double critter nation all by himself.
