OpenGD77 rocks! The hotspot even can switch between MMDVM or BlueDV mode. I have teted both and it works like a dream.

I'm not big on telling people to do anything with firmware in general. Not strangers online especially. I usually only recommend doing this kind of stuff to people I know so I can help them personally. It's a huge risk with most everything firmware related for anything that uses firmware. OpenGD77 is so incredible I strongly suggest anyone with doubts to please watch every KZbin video you can find on it. This channel we are on is extremely helpful. This firmware completely changes these radios! I have a Tyt UV md380. Honestly the radio is very limited in every way out of the box. You need to PC program so many basic little things. You can't even delete or change a group digital contact without a pc. It does sound excellent on DMR and analog. It functions but it's dead ass basic. OpenGD77 brings this radio into a whole new world I promise you. I mean... Scanning a selected frequency range for DMR signals. It then can stop on the frequency and scan out the timeslot and color code automatically. You can then hit two buttons and save it to it's on channel. That by itself is worth a whole radio in value lol

I sold RT3S 1 year ago..it was nightmare with orginal software. But just few sec ago I ordered new one - just beacuese I dscovered GD77 is available for that. Hope this time this radio will work like the ham radio should. Hear you soon!

never will switch back, nether my TYT MD9600, nor my RT3s. But new radios of this type, it seems there is not a STM32 anymore in it, so you cant flash OPENGD77

Does this allow dms on vhf frequencies? Seems the original firmware will not transmit a digital channel on 2 meters. Works fine for analog on vhf. works fine on uhf for analog and digital. But no digital on vhf.

GD77 provides the CPS that you use .
