I’m gonna say this as a Muslim. I have 0 respect for any Muslim scholars or Mullahs. I find the term Mullah or Sheikh to remind me of all those sick pedophiles who marry litte girls, have 4 wives, mistreat women, and so on I know this is wrong. I’ve heard GREAT things about him and that other black Sheikh from Zaytoon. But I genuinely cringe due to growing up in this religion and seeing/hearing of all the issues due to people who abuse our religion.

Always a gem to hear Hamza Yusuf ... both in the Arabic and in the English ... ma sha Allah up until he seems to make leeway for the nonMuslim in them being saved as they have heard about the Prophet3lyhisSalaatwasSalaam and have read about him and have been exposed to his message... so thats a flawed rendition of Imam Ghazali's breakdown of the saved and the unsaved ...which is unnecessary honestly as it is dishonest.

A lot of people who do dawah don't understand that and unfortunately, without realizing, they put a lot of people away from islam. Shaykh Hamza have a special wisdom that many don't have. He did invite in many subtle ways: "We hope yo see you in Mecca!"... That's why so many converted through him since more than 40 years. May Allah blessed him
