So beautiful! It's really good that there's this orientation about how to respect and look after this place. So many places don't get the respect they deserve. Good to see these guys taking it seriously! And that snorkelling looks gorgeous!

I was just there a week ago and posted a video about it. It looks like the reef is dying due to overuse. What coral I did see, looked in bad shape. I got lucky and there were not too many visitors as I saw in your video. Did you see the cute mongoose and the sweet island kitties?
@Livingtheglobe4 жыл бұрын
yes, for sure the coral is in bad shape, and although they tell ppl not to step on them they still do. and yes lots of mongoose n kitties :)

@@Livingtheglobe Do you think they put all the tourists there to keep them messing up one spot so they don't mess up the rest of the island?
@Livingtheglobe4 жыл бұрын
@@DaredevilGirlDianano we really don't think so Oahu is not the best for snorkeling to start with. very limited spots.
@DaredevilGirlDiana4 жыл бұрын
@@Livingtheglobe True. Only other time I've been snorkeling Oahu was for shark cage diving off shore. I've always done the most reef snorkeling on Maui and Kona.

Thank you, the reason for the short underwater shots was blue to not too many fishes and most of the coral we dead 🤙🏻

@@Livingtheglobe Just the same as in the Maldives, where we had been last December. Most of the corals were dead and then there are no fish at all, maybe only a few. It's a lot better - by the way the best i have seen so far - in the Philippines !

Beautiful coral fish but the coral reef is dying :( !!
@Livingtheglobe5 жыл бұрын
+Ricky Tjahyadi well I’m all honesty it’s in a rebuilding phase they are protecting the cove so the coral can grow, BUT some people who visit here step on them and little do they know they are damaging 10’s of years of growth with every single step on the corals 😖
