Actually Nonono's PC was okay. In reality, she had tried to escape Kano's base, but was caught by Kano's soldiers. Under Kano's command, she was brought to the torture room, and was "justly punished". But they obviously couldn't have her stream with those bruises, so they had to wait for her to heal. The whole PC problems story was just made up to hide what has truly happened.
