제주의 지붕 일기와 많이 닮았군요 비에 썩은 부분을 걷어내고 새것으로 속에 집어넣는게 하지만 바람이 불지 않는지 끈으로 묶지 않는군요 제주는 바람이 많이 불어서 들에서 자라는 띠로 줄을 만들어 묶습니다

i think this place is overhyped. when i was riding the bus to shirakawa-go, i saw many similar looking villages that no one cared about. most tourists flock to shirakawa-go though, if you truly would love to explore japan, you should visit the other villages and get the authentic, non-touristy vibe.
