I want Adobe to buy this and integrate it into CC 2016 as a plugin, because there is no F..ing I could technically build this! Man that is an awesome rig!
@kbrodeur8 жыл бұрын
there is no "plugin" it is custom written and built. just like a 3d rigging system, you can't just press a button and poof. you have poser, and other things like 3ds rigs, but they are generic and there is no way to do anything like that as he is faking 3d with 4 months of work to render and chop this all up. It could have been done in maya or maybe 3ds too but it would still need scripting for all the line work and shaders along with pop out controllers and morph targets.

nobody talks about the timeline tools thats we need when we animate a rig character. like the hability to select all the keyframes in the current frame to retime the animation. or a way to automatic create hold frames (for the layout and keyframe position of the animation). this is eaven exist?

Would be awesome if adobe could integrate a Rig System for 2D Animation into AE. Not as complex as this one, but for an easier rigging with IK, Lip Sync and a nice Control Panel to animate.

Search for Duik from DuDuF. It's a free script
@KuneMaster10 жыл бұрын
Delfos Thx... that's the one I'm currently using. But it would be handy if this and more features would be integrated into the puppet tool anlong with a well structured panel to control the rig, so you don't have to build the Rig from scratch everytime you make a new character.
@saulyance6 жыл бұрын
There are some scripts created for this matter, they're not as useful as making your own customized rig. But if you're looking to save time and work faster, they will definitely help you.

So that grid of mouth expressions at 13:11 - is that something built into After Effects or is this a panel made from expressions? It looks flippin amazing. I just don't understand how you'd get to that point.
@videomissionary8 жыл бұрын
I've been trying to find a plugin that can accomplish something like they show at 13:00 for lip syncing. (Similar to Flash's Keyframe Caddy plugin) Is anybody aware of something like this? The closest I've found is Leem's animation sprite swapper, but it's only text-based, not thumbnail based like what they show here.

I can't stop watching this... Mind had been Blown. The interface they created is so beautiful and puts my early rigging when the Puppet tool first came out to shame. Shame! Where is there a code or rig resource from these guys?
@noidexe8 жыл бұрын
For small teams there are other tools like Blender or Anime Studio where you can do roughly the same out of the box without people specialized AE scripting and tooling. Especially if you're gonna work with more complex characters.
@DavidLGood8 жыл бұрын
+noidexe That's not really true. Blender is a full-on 3D modeling, Animation, and Rendering application. You don't get this kind of functionality "out of the box." You'd have to spend hours and hours and hours rigging your characters to be anything close to what they've presented here. Same with Anime Studio, or any other software. What they're demonstrating here is a custom rig.... which I've had to do both in After Effects as well as in other 3D applications (Cinema 4D, Electric Image, Blender). No application comes with this kind of preset rigging "out of the box."

It's pretty crazy that we have to spend so much time making stuff like this. Why isn't it built into the program? Why can't they use a 3d beak, have a tool to make 2d shadows and physics to do the squashing? Would Maya have been a better option? Seems like they are using a program for something it isn't meant to do. I'm asking this as a genuine question, they know far more about animation then i ever will, not implying they don't know what they are doing.
