I just bought a hand dredge, and this inspired me to get out to the creeks this week!

Nice amount of gold for Missouri ! I sub ! I have a suggestion that might help you get more gold. try scraping the top thin layer off of the clay in bottom of crack, put clay in your pan with some and break up the clay really good and pan that out. Gold will stick to clay! Just a suggestion, good luck finding more gold bro!!
@Kylethiemann5 жыл бұрын
KZbin Viewer / James M thanks for watching and I have tried to bust that clay up it’s some tough stuff !

Howdy Kyle, lookes to me like the layered bedrock would also have gold between? Have you broken any up? Great video
@Kylethiemann5 жыл бұрын
I believe you are correct
@Giannis_Sarafis5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's what i thought too. It's beautiful layered bedrock. You could also check the bottom of the small waterfall, especially if it has narrow crevices. You would find big pieces there, i believe. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

What kind of camera do you use?

I’m glad to see someone still using riffles and moss. Have you considered changing to rubber mats or have you tested before? I am personally curious how different mats work. Another day with gold in the pan. Nice!
@Kylethiemann5 жыл бұрын
I think the next mat I try is that dream mat with the swirls
@chrislilly14635 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/boWWlXl8ed-Wrbc Check this out. I just watched it last night. Features the dream mat. Even talks about “Alberta flour” lol Chris from Vogus prospecting uses it and it looks neat. Sounds like it might be pricey though.

is a portable shop vac allowed?
@Kylethiemann5 жыл бұрын
Im sure there’s no law on bringing a shop vac to the creek lol !
@firesmith13735 жыл бұрын
lead is worth money also, do you save it?
@Kylethiemann5 жыл бұрын
I save all the lead, lead is not good for the wildlife or fish in the creek most gold prospectors save all there lead just to show people how much good they are doing for the rivers creeks and streams.

Get that water flowing through sluice quicker. Pour a bucket of over burden in front of it to close the gaps under and around it.
@Kylethiemann5 жыл бұрын
I tried that but the water took all the rocks away everytime lol

maybe do a test bucket or two at the bottom of that hill behind you
@Kylethiemann5 жыл бұрын
Will do next time !
@seekingtko31465 жыл бұрын
@@Kylethiemann i was thinking it could be a ancient river bed over there..its at the bottom of that hill...maybe over time the hill fell down creating the flat spot over there..the area your doing now has been hit several times and is not that old

The best thing about working rock bottom is there’s only one way to go from there!
