@soverylisa Needle work it's amazing, every single stitch is a piece of art. The time, practice, creativity, patience, dedication and a lot of things that includes when a person it's creating makes any piece in something amazing, because when is handmade it means never exist something similar, is unique. That's the real added value.

I went to an all girls convent school and the nuns taught us this. Fifty years later, I still enjoy doing it. I made a quilt for each of my grandchildren that depicts what they enjoy with the squares done this way. 👍

That is such a lovely thing to do. It is very satisfying to sew, embroider etc. I am glad it seems to be more popular again. I went to a convent school too - Trinitarian order - and very happy days they were! Some people think nuns are dull but we had a lot of fun as I expect you did.

A robin flew right across the road in front of me last summer and I hit him with my car. He died instantly thankfully. I started to cry and ripped out the fabric on the inside of my jacket pocket and wrapped him in it and buried him by the side of the road and lay some wild flowers there. I hope he flies forever with God in heaven.
