are you using pneumatic or straight by hand ?
@engraverhand10 ай бұрын
Hi, here I´m using mostly pneumatic. If I remember correctly I was using mostly the Lindsay PalmControl on this knife unless the gold inlay. I sometimes use hand push gravers for small details.. :-)

To cut the outline that will be inlayed, so how many degrees do you use? or with ongelet?
@engraverhand Жыл бұрын
I would use the same 116 graver I use for almost everything. :-)

@@engraverhand this answer is very fun, I also mostly use 116. I'm a fanatic on 116😁😁, it's very easy to control and can be for everyone. thanks for the response

@@mulanjamilah7849 it’s definitely my most used graver for almost anything :-)

What oil do you use to transfer photos?
@engraverhand2 жыл бұрын
There are many ways to do it, it all depends.. here I was using damar varnish mixed with zippo fluid, laser printer on parchment paper, which is one of many ways.. :-)

Immaculate work. Great video. Where can I buy a knife like this to engrave?
@engraverhand3 жыл бұрын
To be honest, it was a $3 knife I bought at the Salvation Army.. I don’t know the brand.. but for sure the gold in it now duplicated the price a few times :-) Don’t want to talk about the hours..

@@engraverhand people in this trade don’t pay for the knife. They are buying your incredible art,experience and knowledge you honed in on over multiple discipline of time. Thanks for the response. Really enjoyed the video of the whole process.

Marius, care to share your camera setup?

Sure! :-) I use the iPhone 12 Pro Max and sometimes my old iPhone X with the FilmicPro app and use the iPad Pro as a remote with the Filmic remote app.. then edited in LumaFusion on the iPad Pro :-)

@@engraverhand good video i like it. I'm having a little problem with my carving handle. my carving handle when cutting objects is too basic and touches the workpiece especially the wide workpiece. can give me advice? do i have do problem on my chisel face? I saw your handle lifted up. what is the degree of the chiseled face in your video? Thank you

Very nice engraving design well done. Can you share what type - brand model of ink printer you use? Because I use a laser printer but i want to buy and one ink but don't find any review here in Europe only American model's. Thanks in advance
@engraverhand Жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! :-) That ink printer is broken and long gone.. but it was an old HP 1050 A if I remember correctly.. it’s also important the type of ink you get. It was a good one and should be easy to find second hand, problem is that I doubt there are drivers for more new computers.. if not I’d love to get another one :-)
@engraverhand Жыл бұрын
Oh.. I just remembered on this one I was using a laser printer. Printed on parchment paper and burnished on a mix of sticky damar varnish and zippo fluid.. but used the ink printer too for other projects :-)

What ink is best?
@engraverhand Жыл бұрын
It’s a big and long issues.. it all depends on what printer we are talking about. I know not all laser printers work or not all ink printers.. but for ink printers I trust HP original ink, but keep in mind not HP ink printers are good either.. it’s a big thing of trying and failing.. but the ink printer I used to have worked fine with original ink.
