Great video. Just one small thing. When setting up guides, there is a difference between ascender height and cap height. It's only a minor issue but when learning typography, you'll come across this quite frequently!

He leterd it in photoshop and then took a jpeg to Illustrator and used image trace to make a vector!

Very interesting and useful the process. I noticed that he is using the theory of graphic design at some point. But I didn't like the thing that, lettering is from graphic design, and that means everything must have an argument, why that stroke, why that angle, why that shape, etc...I found that he just draw. Would be interesting knows when and why to use a different type of technics or strokes. What's communicate with each one. Many of them I know it because of the typography, theory but others I am lost.

why would we want to do this in photoshop, when we can easily do it in illustrator with so much more control and quality?

Hey mate, I can definitely see where you're coming from, but the purpose of the video was more about teaching people how to draw letterforms and sketch lettering compositions. Can;t remember if I mentioned this in the vid (I think I did), but if it were a design for a client that needed something crisp and perfect then I'd re-draw it with the pen tool in Illustrator. Also, a lot of my followers on IG etc. ask about creating the hand-drawn aesthetic, which this method is much better for :) Cheers!
