Hand of Vengeance Paladin Build Guide (Last Epoch 1.0)

This is the core build I been looking for to get my Shield Throw/Reprisal Unique online after so much theorycrafting and searching! So far so good as Paladin (Reroll from FG) I am scaling Retribution as well so for clear tons of reflect and auto shield throw on block. Basically running through mobs and they die without out pressing a button while lvling. I do want this to be a bleed build though so swapping around a lot from your build/gear. My initial issues with my old build was tankiness which this fixes and I use Cleaver so have over 300% ward retention already at 51 lvl. I do have to swap out volatile reversal as I'm talented into Shield Throw since I also have a big +3 skill on shield and it's what is helping with the full screen clearing until I'm melee down a single Elite/Boss with Vengeance. Very optimistic this time as my FG couldn't make the build work in empowered but this has tons of synergy, AOE and single target while tanking. Thanks!

I think the base Sentinel passive tree is missing a point to get to Blademaster.

I like your build, but the planner you linked doesn't actually work. The lower sentinel passives selected are one point shy of permitting any points in Blademaster, as maxing Juggernaut, Armor Clad, Valiant Charge, Time and Faith, and Gladiator get you only to 24 points, rather than the requisite 25. I put one more point into Fearless and dropped it from Divine Essence in the Paladin tree to make it work. Otherwise, finding this fun and matching closely to what I was already doing - this helped me find some survivability I was missing. Thanks!

Hi. This build looks great. I've already started leveling it, it's very enjoyable. I have a question... is it possible to replace e.g. Volatile Reversal with Judgment? This skill also seems to fit this build. I would like to know your opinion.

Why no one takes node for about 165% increases healing effectiveness if you are healed in paladin tree? This node is best to attunement node.

Did healing hands get the fire tag yet? Otherwise, it doesn't scale off anything fire-related right?

It does. There's some claims It isn't scaling things that say 'with fire skills' but I haven't verified that yet. The only thing in here that would be affected are the idols.

I've did very similar build to this myself and I'm currently playing it, two questions about yours 1. What do you think about renegade's will here? I'm using it with LP3 and it seems fine. 2. How exactly does the glove affix for ward work? I've tried the ward node on healing hands and it only put me at like 80 ward so I thought its just not synergizing well, how does this affix change it?

I was wondering the same thing. I am using rive but i got a renegade's will which is making me want to switch to vengeance

also the gloves make the ward build. without the gloves u have 80 ward with the gloves you have 10k+. the game "toggles" you as a low life build once you have that affix on. which makes the healing now generate ward. you can have any "lose hp gain ward" stat anywhere its just best to fit it in the gloves since its an experimental stat

Renegades Will doesn't do anything for the damage of Healing Hands. The weapons in the planner do.

I think whilst this may be mathematically correct, realistically it just looks so dull!!! This is why gaming is in such a bad place right now. We don’t have gamers, we have statisticians as content creators. 😢😢😢 If we asked the Pope to organise a wild night on the town, the night would very much look like this build!!! 😂

Don't like the build play style don't play it. Play something else. Most builds in epoch are very close in power except the very broken ones. You can play a reasonably high corruption if you focus more on defense.
