@@carolinejardine6676 Hi Caroline, thanks for your communication, it's important to align what you're teaching with your local rules and guidelines as they have elements that are consistent across the board but also slight variations. My recommendation is to align with the Washington State Driver's Manual.

​@@carolinejardine6676I looked up the manual. Under 4-1, they recommend hand over hand in tight turns. Just no slipping. In Illinois Slipping is okay as long as it's controlled.

I was taught the pull and push technique and it was a nightmare for me , specially during the manoeuvres , I'd get to a point where i didn't know if the wheels were straight or where were they pointing at . Absolutely nightmare .. When i got my first car that was probably the first technique i abandoned . Hand over hand works so much better and feels so much natural to me .

What happens in the event of an accident if your hand is over the airbag and it goes off? Push-pull method is safer for this reason.
