These vehicles are meant to get banged about, scratched and dented. Brush or roller is good. Most owners own these vehicles as a status symbol. All the others use them as utility.

I enjoy getting it muddy. Always surprises me where it can go.

Every one of them tells a story :) Defenders are nice to look at but better to use them as intended, in the muddy stuff.

I’m getting my first defender next week. Barnfind (warehouse) last 15 years. Was originally marine blue with a white rook and wheels but now badly sprayed white. I’m planning on using paintman enamel gloss to do a sensible restoration in the shed over the winter. Thanks for the inspiration John.

Wish id know you were handpainting, you could have borrowed my compressor and piant gun. Trevor is looking smart.

We've got a large compressor, but a cheap spray gun, so I wasn't sure how the finish would turn out. I thought using a roller would be less messy since I've had issues with overspray in the past. As you know, hammering nails into wood is my specialty! :)

Excellent work sir this is how I preped and painted one or our buses the finish isnt perfect by any means but works well when you don't have a spray booth. Well done

Great job,did my old defender years ago,and if you damage a panel ect ,just flatten off and repaint the damaged panel.cheaper than a body shop .

Thank you for that. Looks like you're going to be busy building with that project. A weekend camping landy is what I've in mind for mine in the future but still looking the off-roading. Did you used to do a caravan YT with your other half and have a buccaneer? Just you look like him🙂

@@Defenderinghaha yes that’s me. Got divorced so that channel is no more. Please unsubscribe. She stole everything and took my mother’s inheritance. Also took my kids away from me. I now have a great life with my new partner she’s amazing but doesn’t want to appear on camera yet!

What type of paint are you using ?

Landrover Vehicle Enamel from a company called Paints 4 Trade, in satin. They have a huge range of colours and some original ones. The products are shown in part one at the start.
