The quilt is scrumptious! I have heard people speak of double gauze, but I haven’t seen it in stores. You are very lucky to have a good relationship with your sister. I’m an only child and would love to have had a sister to sew with and go on trips with.

Rachel, this looks so lovely I can imagine it feels very “cushy”! I’ve never thought of using double gauze in a quilt…thought it would be too fussy to work on because of the stretching! Questions: did you prewash and dry the double gauze? How wide was the fabric? Thanks so much for sharing!

I saw where someone used a hair dryer to erase the heat erasable likes instead of an iron. I used it on some appliqué and it worked! I have been wanting to male a double gauze quilt. Now i REALLY want to make one. Love yours and your template is brilliant!

Frixon pen will erase if you hold the iron close to the quilt without applying heat directly on the quilt. Beautiful quilt and quilting. Geat idea.

Hello and welcome to the channel! Yeah I made the template myself, I think I showed how in this video. It's really handy but marking the fabric can be a pain because of the texture but it's sooo worth it!

I would love to sleep under a gauze quilt. So beautiful! My husband and I sleep the same - he sleeps under a light blanket and I have that plus a single (we call them twin size in the US) size quilt. 😊

Thank you! For this quilt I used warm and plush batting, I dont think I'd use it again as it was pretty plush so a little hard to hand on my hands. Usually I use cotton batting or hobbs heirloom

Love the quilt! How did you baste it with the batting? Did you make the template for marking?

For my quilt basting, I use 505 spray and then basting pins for extra security. I did also made the template, and I discussed how to make it in the video ❤️
