I really liked getting to see your process. I also liked taking something that was already in place , like a word or a simple design, and embellishing it with stitching. I would not have thought of that. Thanks!!

OMG I started doing this a year or so ago and people thought I was crazy and that it was too time consuming but it really isn't and it is SUPER cute! You are so talented and thank you for ALL your contributions to paper crafting. I am forever blown away!

I LOVE the look of sewing on paper! Those embroidery stencils are genius! I didn't even realize those were a thing that existed... I normally draw my own using the third method you mentioned and poke the holes myself but that is super smart (especially for something a bit more complicated and tough to draw). Thank you for showing us how you do this!

Great vid Amy, I handstitch a lot and often stitch designs into my page protector pockets, biggest lesson was ensuring I don't poke the holes too close together!

I love this. I’ve just gotten back into art journal work and am so inspired by your journey from fashion to scrapbooking. So I watched this video, then my 3 1/2 year old watched it, too. We went out and bought a few supplies. First attempt was on too thin paper and too complicated for her trying to stitch a word. So I did it again with holes around the border of a repurposed thick card stock. My daughter worked on it and said, “I’m doing it just like the girl in the video.” Thank you.

I just found you! Salutations from the Sandhills of NE. I have done embroidery for years. A good tip, rub a bit of glue stick on ends of thread, and let dry a couple of minutes. This makes the tread stiff, and very easy to thread the needle. Also, if you love the look of the metallic threads, but fine them a pain for tangling, I rub the whole thread with glue stick and it doesn't tangle or fray at all. Love your videos!
@amytangerine9 жыл бұрын
+patty guggenmos Oh that is a great tip! Agree with the metallics too!!

I love this! I recently stitched the word Family and a paw print on a PL card for a spread of when we adopted our latest furry addition to the family. One thing I had trouble with when I started stitching was pulling the thread too tight and ripping the paper. I have had to train myself to be less "perfect" and be more loose when I am working with the thread. It is very therapeutic and I love the results!! Thank you for sharing!

this is so cool, as a quilter who recently got into junk journaling, i wondered if it was possible to hand stitch paper. i am not too excited about machine sewing paper even tho it might be easier. I love working with fabric on journal covers and now wondering if i would need to poke holes if the paper or cardboard is covered (both sides) in fabric? ☺️ thank you for sharing this 9 years ago!

I am so deeply saddened that I am just now seeing this product and video! I love your templates, and I would love to buy some. Have these now been discontinued in 2022??? I have looked everywhere in Tuesday Mornings, in person scrapbooking stores, online scrapbooking stores, HSN, and even EBay. I cannot find them. Do you possibly know a retailer that might still carry these? I would love to show my support of your great product, while also getting some awesome templates!! Thanks for the great video and awesome stencils! Hope I can find some:).
