Charlotta, I am also left handed and stitch the catch stitch the same way you do. Also, what side I stitch from depends on the type stitch I am sewing, if this makes sense 😊

It does make sense! I think being left handed might make us a bit more flexible when it comes to things like this, as we're used to having to switch around!

Charlotta I am right handed so I work my catch stitch left to right but it would make sense if you are left handed to work in the reverse. Catch stitch is one of the few stitches I work left to right, most of the others I work right to left like running stitch etc, so I guess it does depend on the stitch which direction you work in.

We might need to do a proper research project! 😂 I often also switch directing depending on the shapes/curves/angles I’m stitching

I just starting working on a UFO I have, which is a bag made of a print fabric that has parts padded as in trapunto quilting and is surrounded by quilting stitches. I discovered that I can't make the tiny stitches I used to be able to make years ago because of the arthritis in my hands, luckily I doubt any one will examine it up close😆🤣@@charlotta_patterncuttingschool
