some here my did build folding tables and benches for Indian religion here it has to 200 years or older them that too before my dad stopped making them he had 200 tables made and 1000 benches too he had other things he made to the 5 days we had the sell he sold out of everything did have to make more of them the Indians like them they could befold up and do not take much room up last year we when out there to take in their culture they do remember my dad and they say they still have the folding tables and benches 19 years ago we were surprised to see them still there we had an awesome time with the folks we got to seat in the VIP section for all of that to this month will be it see how my dad feels to take it in again this year

Sign & date it with a felt pen or burn it in . My daughter is 35 and she still uses the step stool I made her when she was 5 .

That is imaginative. If it were mine I would have just clear varnished the natural wood or wax polished it. Maybe your little girl would have liked it painted pink or sky blue. I enjoyed watching your build. ❤️

Love it. I do have 1 question though. Instead of gluing 2 pieces of plywood together why not just get a piece of the thickness you wanted ? Just curious.

Because he started with the scraps of plywood and wanted to put them to use. He didn't go buy those two plywoods. They were leftovers and he made something from them.

Larry Cobb if you buy a piece of ply board that thick it would cost hundreds of dollars. Two pieces of scrap are free.

I would imagine a bit more lamination and more sanding to make the pieces still move would do the trick....not sure the weight tolerances of 3/4" plywood over a period of time with leverage at key points. Upgrade hardware too may be necessary. Hmm....

Great job. Seen something similar somewhere. Perhaps glue the 2 pieces 90 of each other so the grain can be stronger. That is how I did my work tables. Maybe it would be stronger for a larger person on a bigger build.

It's plywood. The grain is usually 90 degrees on each ply.

Great idea! However, as the father of two formerly rough and tough boys, I believe that I would have made it out of a single piece of quality hardwood and twice as thick. A brilliant design for a cute little kid. They do grow up so fast!

More or less the plans are the video itself, screenshot his measurements and the overall cut lines to get an idea for your own build. Definitely he has a great idea here!

He did, look at the metric measurements in the beginning of the video. His cut lines show enough detail to replicate to your own liking. Trial and error, make it your own! Gotta love creativity!

Anyone could buy a cheaper alternative probably built by poorly paid people that have put nothing of themselves into their work. This on the other hand was a pleasure to watch as it was built, inspirational and obviously enjoyed by the end user.

Very Good.....but.. It would be easier to drill the holes "before" you cut out pieces. Also... Please please please have "decent footwear" when working in garage/workshop etc especially when using power tools.

Thomas D. Harrell, I realized after I made my comment that it was probably scrap wood. The reason for this reply is you stated if he were to buy new wood it would cost hundreds of dollars. I don't know where you buy your plywood at but I can assure you that in Ga. you can get a sheet of quality plywood for around $25..

Thats pretty cool. However its a bad example of safety awareness to wear flip flops in the shop. If this video was shot by someone in the 3rd world it would be acceptable. :-( Neat chair though.

You know what, these project videos are nice ideas but I can’t stand when the damned things aren’t narrated! This shit is time consuming, confusing and ultimately boring as hell. We don’t know what you’re doing, why you’re doing it or what it even is till the end and you lose ppl like me within 2 minutes.

It was fascinating, upuntil you took it to the car- boot, worst even when you get it out; near the sea- sand! ...I was thinking this is something of a cut of modern art, a bit of Picasso's call , something of 3D!

Not sure it was worth the time to build. Could only hold up a small toddler, and with no stretcher, or seat catch, there's nothing from stopping the legs from sliding in the sand, and having the whole thing collapse. Interesting folding design, but not very practical.

Nice project. A bandaid over the mike input will stop a lot of unwanted wind noise and will not stop your desired audio from recording.

Nice job. The part that goes into the bottom side of the seat could be cut at an angle to make it fit better and be more stable.
