Appleguard works with the vachetta leather. I sprayed my Louis Vuitton Neverfull with it to help the patina process and it worked great.

I made my own dustbags out of muslin after seeing most of the dustbags I was going to buy were made out of more or less the same thing. Since I already had a ton of it on hand it was super cost effective for me.

I totally get what you were saying about the changing of the color of vachetta leather. I bought that Apple guard for the leather and used it on the sketch backpack/crossbody and it did change and I was so scared! It went back to normal when it dried though, lol. So with that I did my dogs backpack, the Ariel tote and my Disneyland diamond edition tote. When it’s raining though I totally use my nightmare before Christmas totes bc of the black treated leather not being affected lol.

Hey Robin. I probably should have talked about that. Lol. There are a couple of reasons. 1. If you have any leather products, the need to breathe just like human skin. If not, it can become dry and brittle and crack. 2. If you live is a humid and wet area and any moisture gets in your home, without ventilation your bag can dampness and moisture in the dust over causing mold etc. smell....so ventilating your dust covers really serves several purposes. Hey Brooke! It’s so nice to meet you. So happy that you’re part of my channel. Thank you so much. When I go to the park, I like to carry one of my more spacious Loungefly, Danielle Nicole, or Disney Dooney and Bourke mini backpacks. I don’t carry a ton of items but like to have a little extra space in case I need to put a small purchase in there. I don’t think a crossbody is quite enough for me for park days. Here is a link to one of my older videos comparing some of my mini backpacks and what fits. I need to do an updated one. Because what I carry has changed some. However if you have children, that’s a whole different ball game. You’ll need to bring a larger bag for all of the goodies you may need for you and your children. I don’t feel a mini backpack would be enough. Gosh I hope this has help and be sure to check out the video link below.
