Handel as a composer is often underrated. Although he is not Bach, he is among my 5 favorite composers. Maybe it is that I like Baroque, but also in another era Handel would have been outstanding I am convinced!

What a wonderful concert and memorial to a great musician. It was no wonder that Beethoven appreciated him as a role model-his music is still suited to centuries beyond his life. It was somewhat disappointing that the contribution of the great Halle pipe-organ was omitted here, considering that Handel had such affinity with it. .

But the Händelfestspielorchester regularly plays concerts in honour of George Frideric Handel, for example at the annual Handel Festivals in Halle and Göttingen.
