George Frideric Handel (1685 - 1759) was a great German-English Baroque composer. Handel's compositions include 42 operas; 29 oratorios; more than 120 cantatas, trios, and duets; numerous arias; chamber music; a large number of ecumenical pieces; odes and serenatas; and 16 organ concerti.
Wilhelm Kempff (1895 - 1991) was a German pianist and composer. His repertoire included music of J. S. Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, and Brahms. A lesser-known activity of Kempff was composing. He composed for almost every genre and used his own cadenzas for Beethoven's Piano Concertos 1 - 4. His second symphony premiered in 1929 at the Leipzig Gewandhaus, conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler. He also prepared piano transcriptions of music by Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel.

I was hesitant to offer gentle criticism as people often misconstrue a comment only to take offense and retaliate. I’m grateful that you took this in its intended vein. As for myself, I recently finished memorizing this piece after many months and now I have a diamond-in-the-rough requiring lots of polishing of dynamics, timing, phrasing etc. May I ask if you use the Sostenuto when you play this? I’ve attempted historical research on this piece but information is very limited, here’s what I believe to be true: Handel writes this around 1730 almost certainly for harpsichord as I don’t know if he was aware of the piano’s emergence in Italy around the same time. I don’t know how popular it became but this piece may have languished for several hundred years until Kempff’s transcription (published around 1953) which takes advantage of the extended piano range, going all the way down to D1 as you well know.
