Bravo! Beautiful rendition of this difficult sonata. Many people may not realize how long many of the phrases are with no place to breathe!

I'm guessing it sounds good even without keyboard accompaniment, Handel was so good at melody.

That may be the most sophisticated melody I've ever heard. I know there is harmonic minor in there, but god knows what else.

Beautifully played! Your tone is so clean and crisp! I just bought a Lafin headjoint for my Brannen. I’d love to sound like this!!!

I'm 14 and I'm playing this sonata. It's very hard but I already can play 1, 2 and 3 movements. For me, the most difficult part is 4th movement

Don’t feel bad! It takes time and practice to get to this level :) rather than comparing yourself, use this as motivation to be like him

Thank you. At 76 I picked up this and my 1925 Haynes that I have not played in years. I hope I live a few more years so I can play this again. It is so perfect

The only part that peeves me a little was in the third movement he added a lot of ornament which was a little annoying but I could deal with it

I am playing this piece for a solo. I noticed that you added some trills and turns. Was this in you music or did you just add them in? If they were in your music, who revised it? By the way, you did an amazing job!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much Sarah! There were some marked on the edition that I'm using but I also added some on my own (especially the third movement).

Sarah -- Adding ornaments such as trills and turns is standard practice for music from this era. There are books that discuss how to do this, but the best way to learn is by listening, both to recordings and live performances by artists who are experienced in the interpretation of baroque music.
