Nice little review but you are using the terms SMOKE and FOG interchangeable when they are different effects and should not be confused. for starters, smoke rises and defuses whereas fog falls and acts more like water. Fog takes a bit more gear to produce. All smoke machines use glycerin as their chelf fluid. Wrap any gear and cameras in clear cling wrap and use clear or UV filters on your lenses.

@@DemanMusic All Fog/smoke juice is a combination of glycerin, glycol, and distilled water in various mixtures or ratios. Sometimes it is cut with denatured or denatured alcohol. It feels greasy and sticky as it lands on surfaces and if it gets into your lenses, viewfinders monitors, and so forth it just gums it all up and you cannot get it completely cleaned out. Smoke/haze/fog is positively charged and is particularly attracted to glass and metal so protect your gear. I will be making a little video on how to make a small-scale chiller to create fog the way we do it with the big smoke machines. I like fog a lot more than smoke personally. I also put a bit of essential oils (I like cinnamon) in my fluid so that it smells better than just the generic smoke smell. Good luck. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4TRp4mImNCih6c

The refill fluid is only £18.99 on Amazon for 18 x 12ML bottles now. So that has dropped significantly. My only worry is the charge time vs usage time. 3 hours to charge for 25 mins of usage. I understand you won't have it running constantly but would I get through a full three to four hour shoot keeping a room hazed? Still though this is a great idea, and I suspect there are many more on their way down the line with ever better designs and features. And I suppose they are cheap enough that I could just buy two.

I have - it does depend on how windy it is - the wind carries it away like it’s not even on 😅 without wind it spreads well and creates a nice texture . 🙏🙏
