This may have been answered but why put over 1600 ISO on the settings? Is there an artistic component to have grainy photos?

Avoid or you will be really disapointed shame on canon for wrapping it around old m tech bodies and selling it as R probably to palm off a load of old stock all three including r50 and Rp entry models are just lumps of plastic rubbish not worth putting expensive r lenses on and you will be stuck with the same three m type lenses. sony olympus and panasonic have superior features for the same price

The 4K gripe is not really that relevant with super wide angles available, use it as second unit to Canon C300 MKII, more annoying is no UHD, just 4K full. Have not added CLOG to, as Canon’s own PDF on it shows tons of possible problems with it, prefer to adjust settings to reduce sharpness, contrast and saturation to match C300 MK CLOG3 images once Canon’s LUT has been applied. Note 4K is 601 colour space.

I love my R8. I have used it as a second cam for high school sports photography with nice results. I even got 700 photos with it during a football game once on a single battery. I always have extras and love how I can charge with USB C in the car driving around or with a battery pack. I use it as my personal travel camera with lightweight primes (16, 28, 35, 50 and 85). R8+28mm = super light and portable FF camera. I used the 35mm to photograph my sister's wedding with terrific results in a lightweight package. I took the R8 with the 28mm to a big fair last fall and was very pleased with the results I was able to get with the combo that fits in a jacket pocket. For me, the dynamic range, colors, and AF are fantastic at this price point. It isn't going to compete with the R6II or R5 but it isn't priced to. Great ergonomics, is compact and lightweight. I have been very pleased with mine for the price and what I need it to do. For how I use it, I just wish it had a flip-up screen and better weather sealing.

i have just started with the 250d. By god it helps you so much, it practically does it for you in the settings. Very recommended

Big question. I currently have a Sony ZV-1F. Is it worth the time and effort selling my current camera for an R100? Also does the R100 record in RAW format? My main focus is for recording future promo videos for my clothing line and promo photos. My Sony has really good video quality for vlogging but I feel like that’s something I can record on my iPhone.

What if we are recording above 4k30fps? How does it transmit that? Can it use the power from the gimbal (like Ronin RS3 Pro) and slide under the base plate without needing the battery and run for hours?

I invested into the EOS M and M50, along with their lenses and speedbooster for ef lenses. It seems like the R100 and RF mounts are the way they're going, and I feel like I've invested into a dead end with the EF-M system :3

Got one this year, what an awesome camera with very affordable lenses. I love my Canon 650D but got tired of lugging a brick around, this camera does more with less than half the weight. I really feel that Canon should never have stopped making these cameras, it is truly a great a great camera.

Also take into consideration that the R8 is NOT weather sealed like the R6 and R5. Per specs PDF, the max operating humidity is 85%. Here in Florida we exceed 85% often. On a side note, Canon lifted the lens ban for Tamron and Sigma in April. Sigma has already announced 6 lenses in development.

I bought the R6 and am experiencing terrible overheating issues. Is the R7’s overheating control in 4k 60fps better than the R6? I also have purchased the atomos ninja V and was curious if you think it’s worth it to buy the R7 simply because of the superior heat control

But after if i want to adjust another parameter, for example adjust brightness, it also automatically adds keyframe, what is annoying, because i don't want it. How to avoid that?
