It is very hard to explain how the differences feel in comfort but especially in handling. When I have experiments with handle bars I'm constantly 2nd guessing myself. Ocassionally I'll try it on a several day ride it seems to help me feel the differences and differentiate between setting better. You did a great job walking through something that is very hard to elaborate on.👍

Just bought new handlebars to swap from sweeping back cruiser style to a set like yours. Glad I saw this before I installed to understand that neutral pivot spot and what might occur when playing around with position especially given the stark difference in grip position I am changing to. Cheers

Its easy, for comfortable riding, pull back your handlebar, if you want it to easy handling pull the handlebar foward but for me its not comfortable so i choose pullback

Thanks for your help. Just got a used bike, am quite tall so appreciate your perspective. Funny though, you testing it on the straights when your issue was turns. In town you say would be better. Looong vid portion on useless straights.

I’ve a Ducati SFV4s. Tried all the positions you tried. Went back to neutral (what came standard) Even with the electronic controls on max , there’s so much power that if the handlebars are too far back the bike wants to lift all the time. You need to be leaning forward (stock position) on the bike. IMO

My bike is a svartpilen401, which gives a very neutral riding position. I test rode my friend's ninja650 and it had that "drop into a corner" handling, scared me at first.

If you look at big cruiser touring bikes the handlebars are always located behind the pivot point.

Glad you found the better position. I don't know if it's just my eyes, but seems to me the grips themselves are ever so slightly angled towards the front by design? Or are they straight? To me the hand position itself would make a difference....but it might just be my eyes.

I think it's the wide angle lens of the GoPro causing distortion Roger. I don't feel any upward angle, the grip angle feels very flat and neutral.

That would be a very uncomfortable sensation having the bike drop into a corner like that. My favourite bars are the bar risers you get with the Continental GT. A semi-sporty crouch. I'd buy that bike just for those bars. Enfield have a very nice green GT just out.

hi, could you please include the torque settings, If they are 8mm bolts 20- to 25nm max should do the job, are they 8mm bolts ?

try bar risers of different heights . . my Scrambler is more comfortable to ride with bars 1.5 inches higher
