Handley Page Herald G-APWA at Woodley and Southend Airfields

Not all the Aircraft Recoveries I have been involved with, were for Brooklands Museum. Back in 1993 friends of The Museum of Berkshire Aviation at Woodley asked myself and a few other of the team, to help fit wings to their Handley Page Herald.
This aircraft G-APWA, was the first production version of the Herald and first flew on October 30, 1959. I first saw it in retirement at Southend Airport in 1990, when we were collecting Viscount Stephen Piercey, to take it to Brooklands.
